Be kind to your body. It is always doing its best for you, keeping you alive and whatnot.

In pushing so hard against the parts of ourselves we don’t like we over-identify with them and give them additional power. Better to accept and even laugh at them. Paradoxically, this gives us the best chance to change.

This is an important, heartbreaking read. I went through Safe Sport certification & like Karelle was astonished at how triggering it was. I’d seen/been subjected to so much abusive behavior - much of which is normalized in sport. But it is never ever okay. oiselle.com/blogs/oiselle-bl…
Lovely piece by @MildredLocke for @Cyclingnewsfeed on cycling while pregnant, featuring yours truly. Plenty of takeaways relevant to not-pregnant people too! cyclingnews.com/features/ind…
Just wow: the stunning truth of this sentence.
“The answer lies in how much our society invests in disappearing the violence of beauty culture.” nytimes.com/2021/10/16/fashi…
The energy it takes to fend off an incessant stream of ads and social feeds inviting us to “fix” our selves is at best a harmful opportunity cost. We’ve long known it causes psychological harm.
100% me. Shoutout to all my dear friends who constantly forgive this in me. ❤️
