Brilliant day visiting @amazonface . The experiment will examine how mature Amazon forest will respond to future elevated CO2. The amazing people working on the project are making rapid progress on the first two fumigation rings. Video shows the scale of a single 30+m ring. – at Manaus, Brazil

Great that UK Foreign Secretary @JamesCleverly visited the important new @FCDOResearch supported @amazonface. The experiments will tell us how changes in atmospheric CO2 will impact rainforests: increasing knowledge of global carbon cycle, and informing climate models

We can't stop climate change without supporting Latin America, home to at least half the world's rainforests. From preserving the planet for future generations to upholding democracy and human rights, the UK and Latin America are working together on the issues that matter.

Nosso chanceler 🇬🇧 @JamesCleverly não teve medo e subiu uma das torres do AmazonFACE com quase 40 metros de altura. Ele teve o privilégio de ver a floresta do alto. O mosaico verde impressiona. A floresta é um patrimônio incalculável. Precisamos estar unidos para protegê-la.
