Would it be too much asked from AI ‘creators’ to NOT include:
- dragons
- spaceships
- 80’s vibe
- star wars
- lord of the rings
- aliens
- dinosaurs
- the matrix
- superhero landings
- fighting scene duplicates
in their… slo… I mean videos?

This exactly! 😎
Some candid thoughts here as I look at my actual cinema camera sitting comfortably on its storage shelf…..I think we’ll be alright.
Everyone is free to raise funds and make films in the real world like we always have. This is simply an alternative. As a director who’s gone through that grueling fundraising process a few times, this is a pretty fun alternative to explore.
Turning a visual story that is in my head into a viable creation that can be shared with an audience is an amazing process, it’s what got me into the film industry in the first place.
To me it matters much less what tools are being used and matters much more what stories are being told and what emotions are being communicated. That is the art form of modern filmmaking. You take a big pile of footage (from wherever it came from: video camera, imax camera, an AI video model, stock footage, etc), and then TRY to craft it into something that makes people feel something.
In terms to AI filmmaking, I really see this as a big beta test, and it’s incredible to be part of it and using the skills I’ve honed as a film editor/director/VFX artist to help improve this new medium.
Hilarious sensationalist headlines like “the cure is worse than the disease” make storytellers who are actually experimenting with these tools (whether you think it’s slop or not) crack up with laughter as they close their browser tab and get back to work on whatever it is they’re actually making and sharing.
It’s okay to have fun and try a new medium of visual storytelling. It’s definitely not stopping anytime soon.
5/6.
For previz & storyboarding it is really really useful and absolutely recommended bc it can actually save a lot of money for productions
4/6.
AI agents are useless, especially for professionals who speak the film language and know what they want.
3/6.
Even though almost a one-man show, AI film-making is not a bit less difficult than real film-making when done properly, equally time and energy and effort consuming, ranging from euphoric to frustrating
2/6.
Biggest weakness is consistency, once thta becomes better there will be, however, a new genre called AI animation or something and we’re gonna see awesome stuff, in expensive genres like fantasy, sci-fi or period stuff, that couldn’t be made otherwise.
1/6.
The fear about AI replacing filmmaking and blablabla is bullshit. While it can be an amazing (and cheep) tool for certain things, it will never be able to replicate human expressions, voices, performances, unique compositions and creative decisions.
The enemy of society and another big nail in the coffin of human civilization is air-conditioning. Why? It produces hot air released into the atmo and makes humans weak against heat, a downward spiral that ends with our doom. Like a frog in boiling water, we’re cooking ourselves.
I’d like to see a movie with:
Leonardo Dicaprio
Brad Pitt
Al Pacino
Margot Robbie
Sydney Sweeney
Mikey Madison
Margaret Qualley
Austin Butler
Kurt Russell
Dakota Fanning
Maya Hawke
Emile Hirsch
Bruce Dern
Victoria Pedretti
Luke Perry
Oh wait..
God, this platform became like a room full of people who came to loudly insult, criticise, mock each other or simply spread neurotic, twisted, sick thoughts and opinions out. I was patient but I’m really losing interest here 🙄
