What happens to indoor air quality when a household transitions to cleaner stoves/fuels but its neighbors do not? Check out our new paper in #IndoorAir Thanks @sierraclark2 for the synopsis thread! @jillcbaum @EllisonCarter
Excited to share our recent article in #IndoorAir on the chemical composition of PM2.5 from household cooking with multiple stoves/fuels in rural #China. Got to work with a great team including @jillcbaum @EllisonCarter and paper lead by @alxmlai (1/4). onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…

Clearly guidance needs to be updated now that aerosol transmission is acknowledged as an important route of transmission. I keep hearing health officials can’t acknowledge it because it will require huge infrastructure changes. So what do we do? (1/4)

There is a critical message that needs to get out to save lives. Holiday gatherings are going to do enough to accelerate the pandemic without having people think that if they sit in cozy living/dining rooms at opposite ends of 6 foot tape measures they will be safe. (1/)

Wasn't inevitable that governments are slowly (often quietly) changing COVID guidance to emphasize airborne routes. Massive, tireless educ efforts by scientists.👏
Canada: "SARS-CoV-2 ... spreads from an infected person to others through respiratory droplets and aerosols ..."
NEW: Canada has quietly revised guidelines on how #COVID19 spreads to include the risk of aerosol transmission, weeks after other countries and international health organizations acknowledged the airborne threat of the coronavirus, @adamsmiller reports.
