Apparently the US standard of living for lunch has fallen behind the USSR.
Here's my lunch for today. Just as it has been for many, many days during my life. I'm 31yo. Happier and healthier than I've ever been.

Wow just received this in the mail from The DSA. I’m pleased they have righted this wrong, however it did take them far too long to take accountability for it.

Tonight, we received a suspicious letter from DSA HQ. Everyone is safe, and the matter is being investigated by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the FBI. This follows a string of similar letters sent by the DSA to all Israeli assets in Congress. Why would DSA do this?

Cops should be concerned about their job security with AI advancement. They have already invented a driverless car that is capable of idling in various 7/11 parking lots. That’s like 50% of their job minimum.

Go ahead and use an “AI Agent” to send emails. I get these AI written emails on my work email sometimes. Why would I respond? It’s like letting a Waymo merge in front of you. Simply not my problem.

A while ago a tech bro told me with complete seriousness that sports are dead because nobody will watch live sports anymore when in the near future you could just generate video of a whole personalized sports season where your favorite team always wins.
I am not joking when I say this. Spotify, Apple Music, and streaming in general is over. AI music is now very, very good. You just don't know yet because all AI music circulating today is from ~2-3 generations ago. Suno v6 pro et al has solved infinite personalized music.

A rivalry 19 years in the making. The last time they faced off was Dalton beating Keenum in the 2007 Texas Bowl. Will Keenum finally get his revenge?

If you want to see how real the dead internet theory is, look at the responses to this AI bullshit.

Councilor Green responds to (an extremely cynical and unhinged) call from the Portland Police Association to resign. He did not resign and, instead, stood on business.

Splitting Germany in half after WW2 was a mistake. It should have been split into at least 4-5 different countries.
German airpower is about to look a little different. 🔍

What’s to stop a Democrat or their staff from just leaning over McConnell and telling him to vote their way? I say do it.
Republicans have to instruct Mitch McConnell to vote "yes" on a bill after he nearly votes "no" with Democrats

Ed Sheeran trying to thread the “I’m not taking any sides in Gaza” needle is like 100x funnier with the revelation that every other non-Macklemore artist affiliated with the tour was apparently Irish.
Ed Sheeran’s band, Beoga, have dropped out of his tour: “We have made the decision to depart as Ed Sheeran's band on the remaining US Loop tour, following the silencing of Macklemore by zionist lobbies.”

I will attempt to genuinely engage with this take. What is a bold, radical centrist policy that a young person could presumably like?
“Young people don’t love socialism, they just love bold, radical policies, so if centrists and moderates just adopted bold, radical policies, those candidates would get more traction.” Just incredible politics-understanders on Vox dot com LMFAO

“Bold, radical centrist policy” that a young person could presumably get mobilized in an election for: - Term limits for congress (but 20+ years only targets McConnell types) - Marijuana legalization - Maybe UBI (while sneakily cutting other government programs) - Lock Him Up

These are all reforms that appear rather big but do not challenge capitalism or US hegemony in any way whatsoever. So, it is possible a centrist Dem could try to run on these to mobilize young people in an election. They still won’t of course. Interesting to think about though!
