Don't you have like a mute button for that? You aren't school teachers, you are developing a video game about mercenaries brutally fucking each other up for money.
Or do you really want every single clip of people calling me a "faggot", "nigger" or "megajew" for taking the APC?
Replying to @westycakesx @WARDOGS
DM me or @L0SSY the clips. We’ve always said we don’t like people who are being a dick or virgins so this sounds like a double whammy.
The actual PERSONAL computer gaming experience:
- wipe Windows off your hardware
- package manager takes care of your drivers
- Steam is pre-installed with lots of distributions
- you just download and play
- no "buy Office 365" popup or other weird shit
The very moment you go east of Central Europe, you'll encounter less and less trustworthy societies.
Cheats, scams, fraud and all the other fun stuff is way more common and accepted over there.
Trust is weakness to them. It doesn't matter if it's about a video game or your life savings.
Cheating slowly becoming commonplace in #WARDOGS , especially from china.
The forums are talking about it nonstop - and it would be all over reddit if they didn't remove every post exposing chinese cheaters.
Region lock is needed for those regions that don't respect the rules.
Just don't give money to companies that employ these radical idiots.
Calling people with a different opinion "nazi incels" to dehumanize them is a nazi strategy itself.
He will gladly take your money, but if he could, he'd also send you to prison for mean words.
Replying to @groovy_pioneer
Bad move for whom? Profitability in the short term?
The hr practices of silencing your employees to make nazi incels feel more welcome may make a wider tent for most customers in the short term
But if you want your social mmo live service game to flourish long term, calling out these people is absolutely the correct call.
Community building and getting the biggest number for shareholders are often times are direct odds.
Calling it money laundering is stupid.
They're doing nothing illegal. They're just throwing money at talentless losers and extremist HR/leadership.
You don't even need to do anything, these idiots will keep shooting themselves in the knee until they collapse.
Hilariously easy to fix.
Increase pallet size, introduce a small pallet (for Bird/Kodiak) and don't allow building supplies to be put into crates.
Problem solved, everyone happy.
We need supplies at the FOB, now!
I don't know if the average #Wardogs player is stupid or just cheap.
Literally 20 crates of supplies in the base that nobody empties...
Yeah, but what if you do all that and still have cheaters?
No matter how restrictive you get with requirements (locking out more and more players), you'll still have a certain amount of cheaters.
The amount of cheaters doesn't really change a lot, once the cheats are developed anyway.
The only way to actually win in the long term is active moderation and fighting back.
Publicly shame the cheaters, reveal the identity of cheat producers. Make their life significantly worse than cheating in the game would make it better.
You can't win the arms race, you can win the war though.
This is one of the best steps against cheaters we can take
But we watched other games get annihilated in public for forcing it..
Are you ok with secure boot being on?
88% of wardogs players use secure boot, 96% of players have tpm enabled.
We won’t turn it on if people hate it.. but the reality is, our professional dev opinion was turn it on. But players hated other games that did it, so we respected that… but most of the cheats we saw would have been caught.
Talk to me guys.
The overwhelming majority of PC players barely know their way around computers.
As soon as something isn't done by a double click, it's pretty much game over for them.
That's why Windows is still popular despite being a piece of shit. It's made for the dumbest possible user and it comes pre installed with almost every PC or laptop you can buy.
Well, so much for Wardogs.
I imagined they'll go down stupid alley a few years in but they're already at it with stupid decisions a week prior to launch.
Why even bother trying to get Linux users in only to lock them out because you suddenly decide to go with fancy new AC?
Replying to @THi_DELTA @valvesoftware
No, we are just prioritising security ahead of that part of the playerbase. We will bring the game to proton properly ASAP which should be soon after launch.
Security and perf are our biggest priorities, we won’t compromise them.
