Ledger Flex sold at Singapore Airport confirmed to contain a spy implant!
@BenYorke found suspicious marks on his @Ledger and sent it to me rather than using it, that was probably the best decision here.

I have a $300 @Ledger Flex that I bought from the Singapore airport in summer (Metapod, should be fine?)
I never plugged it in but it looks like theres some scratches on the casing, an indication of potential tampering?
Anyways theres no way i can trust it (or Ledger) now

Interesting fact: the newer (black) implant only connects to ledger test pads 31, 34 and 35 (SPI CS, CLK & DATA), ignoring SPI DC (36) the older version tapped alongside SE RESET (29, using OLED VCC instead). Newer version was likely built this way to be easier to install.
6 - Arsenal have named as many as six English outfield players (White, Konsa, Lewis-Skelly, Rice, Saka, Madueke) in a starting lineup for a Premier League game for the first time since February 1999 against Man Utd (Dixon, Winterburn, Bould, Adams, Parlour, Hughes).

Just realized why the Ledger Nano X implants using nRF91 (LTE-M / NB-IoT) are quietly brilliant:
A 24-word seed is around 250 bytes. That’s not a data constraint for these radios instead it’s their sweet spot.
NB-IoT/LTE-M were built for tiny, infrequent messages. One short transmission, low power, blends into normal IoT traffic. No high-bandwidth connection needed. The same limitation that makes them useless for bulk data makes them perfect for quietly walking off with a seed.
The interesting part isn’t that someone added cellular. It’s that they picked a radio whose design goals align almost perfectly with the attack and nobody is speaking about the type of the modem.

I briefly went through @partibersamamy's alternative budget 2027. It's a comprehensive and well thought out document. Kudos on @sumdekjoe and his young team. Reminds me of my early days in the DAP working with others like @WongChen_MY to produce alternative budgets.

My spy-implanted ledger came from Malaysia, and had flawless shrink wrap. Even opening it, at first you don't see the implant which is cleverly hidden where the screen's padding is supposed to be.

Ledger is investigating reports of loss of funds from users in South East Asia who purchased products from a reseller named CryptoBillis. As a precaution, and pending the results of our investigation, we have asked CryptoBilis to pause all sales and shipments of Ledger devices. We recommend Ledger users who purchased from this reseller in the last 90 days to not initiate set up if you have not done so yet. If you have set up your Ledger device, consider moving assets to a new Ledger signer (with new seed). We will continue to inform customers of updates as the investigation progresses.

Holy shit...
A random Chinese company purchased CryptoBilis (the authorised Ledger reseller that issued the spy-implanted Ledgers) from its Malaysian ex-owner, then put him under a confidentiality agreement preventing him from disclosing the sale publicly.
What a wild attack.

A Chinese scam syndicate believed to have operated in Cambodia for nine months has turned up at an abandoned resort in Malaysia, running a 24-hour call center powered by generators and 11 Starlink satellite internet systems.
Malaysian immigration authorities raided the remote property in Sungai Lembing earlier this week, arresting 98 people, including 88 Chinese nationals, one Cambodian woman and three Malaysians. Investigators seized 120 computers and 100 phones. The syndicate had reportedly been operating there for three months, paying RM30,000 a month in rent and using guards to monitor access to the property.
According to immigration officials, passport records indicate the group had previously operated in Cambodia and spent time in Vietnam, moving between countries to avoid detection.
Employment contracts recovered during the raid offered workers RM3,000 a month, with commissions for meeting targets and penalties for falling short. Authorities are now investigating whether some of those arrested were recruited through fraudulent job offers and forced to work at the compound.
