Today, we learned the sad news that legendary composer Deva has passed away. Our game peers might not know much about him, but he is beloved by millions around the world for his soulful compositions. He graciously sang the song ‘Chellakutty’ on Venba at our request. Watching him sing Chellakutty was a transformative experience for me. He loved his job so much. It was infectious I wanted to have as much fun making games as he did recording songs. We wanted to work with him on the 2nd game but we're forever blessed and grateful for the one opportunity we got. Rest in Peace, Deva sir.

A lot of minority devs are limited in their scope and budget. That being said some great experiences get through like Venba from 2023. The game follows a Tamil speaking Indian kid growing up in Canada struggling to retain his culture. It was a good short and sweet time.
