The Berlin school of my kids hasn't had a functioning sports hall for years now and it's unclear if it will ever have one. Kids in Germany should be protesting as well.

Deploying PHP into production at this point in time is malpractice. Sure you can make money putting a steaming pile of crap out there, but at some point there needs to be pushback.

Imagine the PHP security incident impact: WordPress (~40%+ of all websites) WooCommerce stores Drupal Joomla Magento / Adobe Commerce Laravel apps Symfony apps Wikipedia (MediaWiki) phpMyAdmin panels exposed to the internet cPanel / shared hosting everywhere Moodle (half the universities on earth) Nextcloud WHMCS billing systems every forgotten client site still running old PHP version patch day would last a decade.

You’re telling me that the enterprise collaboration platform that everybody in Germany is pushing is written in PHP? And PHP is entirely owned again just like it’s been dozens of times now. This sure is a choice and a testament to a lack of skills.

The solution is fairly simple: The voting age needs to be lowered to 0 and all of this stuff will disappear immediately after the next election.
