Hi @Canva. I've noticed this so many times. You need to be more responsible with your photos. When you search for "child" on Canva, see what comes out. When you search for "African child", look at the images that come out. This is not responsible storytelling. Do better.

I have just issued a statement condemning the reported harassment of ACJ-OAU members at the ongoing @GreatIfe_SU election.
Silencing journalists has no place in our university community. We must do better.

One of the things I am proud of attending OAU for is press freedom but in 2026, reverse is the case.
Press freedom becoming a thing of the past is alarming
You ‘lots’ clamor for good governance but harass the press during student union elections.
Shame on you!

1. Seek for the next big opportunity that is right before you.
2. Build a daily confession of its present reality in your life mix it with thanksgiving and praise.
3. Go to God for wisdom to teach you how to get it done.
4. Go to work obeying his instructions.

Excellence isn't accidental. It's early mornings, late edits, last-minute calls, and stories that needed to be told- told right.

Last Saturday, I had the honour of joining the Association of Campus Journalists, Obafemi Awolowo University @Official_ACJOAU(the first campus journalism outlet in Nigeria) for the 2026 International Campus Journalism Conference. We reflected on the theme, "Active Voices: youth driven journalism for national cohesion and progress."
It was a privilege, as the 52nd Public Relations Officer of the association, to anchor the panel session on "Vibrant and Impactful Journalism as a tool for accountability, civic engagement, and national development."
It was such a delight to connect with journalists from across Nigerian universities and professionals in mainstream media. Ms. Faith Alofe @alofefaith, the first female president of the Association, Mr. Caleb Ijioma @caleb_ijioma, Mr. Segun Odunayo @Segun__Odunayo and Boluwatife Adedokun @AdedokunBoluw13
The great experiences shared will inform national development. I look forward to seeing active voices continue to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s progress.
I am glad to announce that I'll anchor the second panel session on Vibrant and Impactful Journalism as a tool for accountability, civic engagement, and national development. It's a joy for me as the 52nd Public Relations Officer of @Official_ACJOAU; you don't want to miss this.

Reflections from Democracy Day
27 years after Nigeria’s return to democracy, the 2023 general elections recorded about 27% voter turnout, the lowest in the democratic era, reflecting growing disengagement and distrust in democratic outcomes.
