people saying blondie doesnβt owe us great lyricism everytime, okay but her quality as a lyricist & storyteller is crucial as to why sheβs a compelling popstar. sheβs not a dancer or a powerhouse vocalist, story is what sheβs got. without thatβ¦what do we have???

lowkey good thing travis is illiterate bc if he knew how to read he might be upset about the fact that a certain someone got "what if the way you hold me is actually what's holy" and he was mr. "got me drΠ΅aming about a driveway with a basketball hoop"

Tough day to be a physician in America.
Tough day to be a scientist in America.
Tough day to be a woman in America.

Election Day Eve Reminder: youβre closer to being homeless than you are to being a billionaire. Abortion care doesnβt only benefit those seeking to terminate a pregnancy. You arenβt rich enough to benefit frm any of Trumpβs policies. Immigration isnβt crushing you. Capitalism is.

We ran 80,000 election simulations and women are pissed off and well-organized in every one of them

Really is a tough call.
On one hand - every Nobel prize winning economist is adamantly stating that Harris has a significantly better economic plan
But on the other hand - the dumbest people Iβve ever interacted with say Trump is a good businessman
Quite the dilemma

The U.S. health care system is failing to keep Americans healthy, ranking last in a new @commonwealthfnd report that compares health in 10 countries. U.S. performance is esp poor when it comes to health equity, access, efficiency, and health outcomes.

30. I will repeat myself till I burst. This is a democracy. Harris is obliged to talk to Americans. Thatβs the end of her obligation. Sheβs not obliged to talk to the press corps, as if it were a constituency. If she stopped talking to voters, that would be disqualifying.

On July 4th, I'm thankful for freedom
Freedom for women to keep reproductive decisions between themselves and their doctors
Freedom for people from around the world to immigrate to America without being referred to as βrapistsβ and βcriminalsβ
Freedom from a government-sponsored Christian theocracy, including bibles being mandated in public schools
Freedom to vote without unnecessary restrictions
Freedom from another multi-trillion-dollar tax cut for the rich (including me)
Freedom from the Trump crime wave, which has thankfully dropped dramatically during the Biden administration
Freedom for every American to have health care
Freedom for the LGBTQ+ community to exist and thrive without being harassed
Freedom for books to not be banned in public libraries
Freedom for the IRS to be funded to pursue tax cheats
Freedom to not have a convicted felon as President
Freedom for public schools to be funded, not plundered by private charter schools
Freedom for the homeless to avoid jail for simply being impoverished
Freedom for children to have free public school lunches
Freedom from white supremacy
Freedom from gun violence
Freedom from a corrupt Supreme Court
This is why I will be proudly voting for a Democratic administration

Last week, I published some off-the-cuff reflections on the fringe "tradwife influencer" trend gaining traction, and the post struck a nerve, circulating to hundreds of thousands of people in and outside my community.
I decided to go a step deeper in this essay: moneywithkatie.com/blog/the-β¦
