Some of us were warning about this 12 months ago but it all fell on deaf ears. You were all to busy shouting "privilege" at us! Should have been picked up BEFORE Oct 24, too late now as the damage is done and SEN kids ARE being forced out of indy schools + teachers losing jobs

Yes, private school closures and parents who were shouldering the financial burden of SEND education being priced out by the education tax ARE going to add burden onto state provision. It's already happening.

When asked at @CommonsEd about support for children forced to leave their school due to #SchoolFeeVAT, especially those in exam years, the Education Secretary washes her hands of it, expecting the independent schools to provide support, dismissing it as affecting only a small number. What if it was your child, Bridget—would you care then? Independent schools have made it clear—they can't absorb the cost. YOU introduced this policy @bphillipsonMP. It’s your responsibility to support EVERY child and reduce the harm you’ve caused. #Shameful #EducationNotTax @Conservatives @NeilDotObrien @LauraTrottMP @TiceRichard @drcarolinej

Can we all agree on something? If you're a politician getting paid over £84,000 plus expenses, for mainly office work... You don't get to tell nurses on less than £30,000 that they're being paid enough for 12-hour shifts keeping people alive. #NursesStrike

This has become quite the talking point, but the data shows the "threat" is wildly overblown. Current ground-mounted solar covers just 0.1% of the UK and might reach 0.3% by 2035. That's less than golf courses. By comparison, farming takes up ~56% of UK land.

FACTCHECK | Some Conservative politicians are claiming solar farms are a ‘threat’ to UK farmland. But what are the facts? @Josh_Gabbatiss @freyagraham_ @rtmcswee @GAViglione 1/4

The UK government has announced plans to increase solar power capacity “up to five times” by 2035. If built, solar farms would still only represent half the space taken up by golf courses. 2/4

The UK produces the most plastic waste per person in the world, 2nd to USA. But because we can’t deal with all that plastic, the UK govt is dumping it on other countries. This is causing health and wildlife emergencies. @BorisJohnson act. #Wasteminster xitter.cf/GreenpeaceUK/status/14…

RT: We’ve delivered 625kg of plastic to Downing Street - the same amount the UK dumps overseas every 30 seconds - to deliver a message. Stop dumping UK plastic waste overseas and fuelling health and wildlife emergencies. @BorisJohnson take responsibility. 1/2

IMPORTANT: My message to Londoners: ➡️ Do not leave home unless you have a very good reason. ➡️ Do not go to work or use public transport, unless you do a critical job. Ignoring these instructions will cause more people to die. #COVID19 #Marr
