The best part of this is jb has a cooked UI and midnight is forcing an improvement on him

current vs beta
part of it is using class colors on the frames but there isn't an option to only use class colored names like on retail so it's either all or nothing. not being able to separate the hots to distinct positions sucks, and I want to see a color not the spell icon

No one is advocating for blizzard to reverse their course regarding addons, even I don't want that. All I want is for my UI to look the same. I just want to choose where and how each piece of information is displayed, instead of it being bundled in some blizzard-defined area.

>it's only alpha
>it's only beta
>it's only prepatch
>it's only the first patch of the expansion, you can't expect them to get it right immediately
>you can't expect them to improve it that much with regular patch updates, next expansion it will be great!

I don't understand the optimism that a company that has spent 20 yrs avoiding its ui will make the current alpha ui good in the near future
there is no evidence to support that optimism and plenty to refute it
build the ui first, then we can talk about removing addons

Biggest issue with new nameplates is whatever is going on with the stacking nameplates option. It causes nameplates to clump up with other names and start dancing around the screen and just be in wildly inaccurate places. Why are the middle 2 just clumped on the outside 2?

No longer possible in the current alpha. If you want this capability, make your voice heard to Blizz.

im starting to realize people are more happy that the " hardcore players " getting hit, rather than actually what is healthy for the game, based on some of the comments i see here on wowtwt.
they dont care about the state of the game, they care about how hard some of us get hit.

I genuinely think best thing every addon dev can do is force a strike and refuse to make a midnight version so the community realizes how integral this stuff is and we hopefully skip all the bullshit and just get back to playing a fun game

Performance issues in raids (Part 2)
Blizzard has added AddOn CPU profiling into the game and it is enabled by default. However, it literally reduces your FPS by up to 20-25 (For more in-depth info, it eats around 3ms per frame in a raid size of 20-30 people).
To turn it off run the following ingame chat command:
/run C_CVar.RegisterCVar("addonProfilerEnabled", "1"); C_CVar.SetCVar("addonProfilerEnabled", "0")
Now run the following command to confirm its off (should print false):
/dump C_AddOnProfiler.IsEnabled()
