On September 28, 2026, families, survivors, advocates, and supporters will gather in Washington, D.C., for Senator Ron Johnson’s COVID Hospital Protocol Roundtable. This is an opportunity for firsthand accounts of what patients and families experienced to be heard and for America to see that these victims are not merely numbers. They were loved, they mattered, and their stories must become part of the national record. Come stand with us. Bring a photograph of your loved one. IMPORTANT UPDATE: THE SUBMISSION PORTAL IS CURRENTLY CLOSED It appears that Senator Johnson’s portal is no longer accepting stories. Although many of us understood from the last meeting that September 7 would be the deadline for stories submitted solely for the official record, the website listed August 28 as the deadline, and the portal has now closed. Please understand that Betrayal Project USA, those who were coordinators, and the many victims volunteering their time have no control over the portal or the decisions made by Senator Johnson and his staff. We are helpers and not the decision-makers. Everyone involved has simply been doing everything possible to help victims prepare and submit their stories, answer countless questions, coordinate lodging, and bring families together in Washington, D.C. If you did not get your statement submitted, please do not give up. Write it now and have it ready. Senator Johnson’s staff must review the submissions already received, and we do not know whether the portal might be reopened or another opportunity may be offered. If it is, you will want to submit your story immediately. This is not the end. It is an important beginning. Huckleberry and I, along with the board members of Betrayal Project USA, will be in Washington, D.C., and we cannot wait to see so many of you there. Kat Crum has graciously been searching for a restaurant that may be able to accommodate hundreds of us for dinner on the evening of September 28. I sincerely hope it works out, because gathering around the same tables would be an incredibly powerful and unifying moment. I also want to say something from my heart: I know there has been hurt, disagreement, and strife within the victim community. Not everyone traveling to Washington gets along with everyone else. But this moment is bigger than any one person, organization, or past disagreement. We have all suffered. We have all been betrayed. We have all fought to be heard. For this moment, let us put our differences aside and stand together for the people we love, for the survivors who still carry the scars, and for every family whose voice was ignored. Our strength in Washington will not come from all of us agreeing on everything. It will come from standing united on the truth that what happened must be heard, documented, investigated, and never allowed to happen again. For those who cannot travel to Washington, please know that you are still part of this. Your prayers matter. Your stories matter. Your support matters. We will carry you and your loved ones with us. I believe God has opened this door. Senator Johnson and his staff received an enoromous response thru the portal and need to now go thru those submissions to structure the roundtable, but God is in control, and justice belongs to Him.
