Prior to this, in the lead up to the war on Iran, Bessent had been escalating sanctions there, too. In all of these places and many more, U.S. economic warfare has been devastating for everyday people.
Tomorrow, Bessent will testify before the House Financial Services Committee on his efforts to "reform the international financial system."
Will the committee make him answer for the lethal outcomes of his policies?
