AI agents are a good idea, but as currently deployed, far too simplistic: there's much work to be done to evolve an architecture suitable for coordinating them at scale. Go study Minsky's Society of Mind or Simon's Sciences of the Artificial. See also Brook's subsumption architecture and Baar's global workspace theory.
