One week later and 800 trials have turned into over $60k in revenue. That's roughly a 70% trial conversion rate... The magic of a good product coupled with sheer indefatigability never ceases to amaze me.

Horrible take This is why most apps out there are quick cash grabs without any long-term value. If you didn‘t have a fried dopamine system you could actually build a product that you want your customers to use MORE, not less. Think in decades, not weeks

Hack to keep your subscribers longer: turn off your app notifications. your users don't have to be reminded that they're paying for your app… - send notifications to non subscribers - turn it off for converted users thats why freakin aussies are paying me $100+ without even opening the app… OFF.

This is only true to a certain degree. You should definitely spend most of your effort on distribution first. But once your product can reliably get traffic at scale, you should reinvest at least 80% of your focus and money into product.

a mediocre product with great distribution beats a great one nobody sees. so stop polishing in private. ship it, put it in front of people, fix it in public.

One of the worst app launches I‘ve ever seen. Pretty clear some kid with elite persuasion skills sold Clav the vision of building the Cal AI of looksmaxxing that will make $5M/month. The app looks generic as fuck, clearly one-shotted with AI, horrible onboarding flow, launched from his personal dev account, no real brand elements and lots of bugs. With the reach that Clav has, if he got a good developer that knows how to make exceptional products, this would easily get to $1M MRR pretty fast. Huge missed opportunity here…

Someone turned the "say wallahi" meme into an app 😭 You swear on god, your moms life or one of the holy books If you keep your oath, you gain aura If you don't, you go to hell and you get banned from the app 😂 Imagine you at 11:23 realising you swore on Jesus christ himself that you need to hit 10k steps today or you're going to hell forever Muslims and christians would be working 3x harder to live up to their word just so they can keep their oath It sounds stupid but this would probably motivate people better than any other type of app Would you use this yourself?
