"Consciousness Multiplied" by James McIntyre is one of the better and more interesting philosophy articles I have read in a while.
He's arguing that even the normal human brain is host to multiple conscious minds at once that are all just as real as our own! How fun!!
The implications and connections of this article with mental illness, animism, paranormal phenomenon, possession, Nietzsche or Julian Jaynes are really entertaining to play with.

Not sure why they can't do both. Use for depression -> remember who you are --- unintentional good side effect helping solve mental problem?
It's absolutely insane watching a baby grow up and develop skills literally overnight.
3 days ago my 6.5mo baby couldn't get on her hands and knees, sit up by herself, or plank at all. She woke up 2 days ago doing all three and now is scooting around the house.
I found a fun dissertation on datura from 1797 where this fellow (Samuel Cooper) put drops of a distillation into a 14-year-old kid's eyes and made it so he could see in the dark for 3 days but was functionally blind during the day!
Topical datura applied directly to the brain killed a frog. Injected into a dog's blood stream killed it in seconds. But injected into other parts of the body just made the animals (dogs, cats, rats, and frogs) go mad. He gave them some pretty horrific trips.
Maybe a long shot, but has anyone functionally recovered from a full thickness cartilage defect without surgery?
If so, how'd you go about it?
This is a decent article on so called amanita gummies. I love amanita muscaria and I use it on a fairly regular basis, but I won't touch the gummies with a 10-foot pole.

New evidence suggests the explosive visionary events in early Mormonism, including reports of fire from the sky, angels, and ecstasy at the Kirtland Temple, may have been influenced by psychedelics. I walk through the evidence with @alexkcriddle

I've never understood the claim by some that all psilocybin mushrooms are interchangeable experience-wise and the only thing that matters is just the amount of psilocybin. That has never been my experience.
The mice that have been scurrying through the walls for months have now started squeaking to each other.
Cooperation is imminent. My cat's downfall is being plotted. They know she murdered one of them.
They are coming.
