I don’t understand why we switch to winter time in the EU It’s 16:00, the day barely started and it’s already getting dark Poland 🇵🇱 tried to bring it up in the European Commission last year and finally stop turning the clock 1 hour back but the process stalled I notice i go outside less because of the winter time, feel less motivated and also spend way more electricity because it gets dark fast I think it’s influencing the European productivity negatively and we are losing in GDP because of it Winter time is peak degrowth and needs to be abolished asap

🚨These are a group of Israeli apps designed in Tel Aviv, using these apps is participating in supporting the Israeli war machine, and contributing to genocide and bolstering the occupation. Some of these apps have been acquired by global companies, but Israel has retained their main headquarters, management, and employees, as well as their presence in Tel Aviv; and those global companies are nothing but a front to give the app a global image and circumvent the boycott. The apps are featured on a moving strip on the Irbaak platform, and simply clicking on any app on the platform will show you information about the parent company and details about it, in addition to sources confirming that information.

"Let's steal all the data from the internet and then add a watermark to it"
We’ve written an FAQ to answer some of the questions we've received about watermarking. In summary: • We’re implementing watermarking to comply with the EU AI Act. Other major model developers have signed the same Code of Practice and will also be implementing watermarking; • Our watermarking method doesn’t have any practical impact on the quality or content of Claude’s outputs; • The difference between watermarked and un-watermarked text will not be distinguishable to readers; • Nothing is added to the text and there are no hidden characters; • Watermarking doesn’t require extra tokens, and will not be more expensive; • Watermarks can’t be traced to a specific person, organization, or chat.

THE OMEGA BLOCK CAUSED THE HEATWAVE NOT CO2! "Omega blocks get their name because they resemble the Greek uppercase letter omega, Ω. The contour lines resemble the Ω shape due to an enormous high-pressure ridge in the mid-troposphere that is sandwiched between two low-pressure systems to its east and west. Hot Saharan air has been advected—that is, horizontally transported—northward into western Europe due to anticyclonic (clockwise) airflow, and as that air mass moves north, it is compressed adiabatically beneath the ridge where air is sinking. This process is natural and has nothing whatsoever to do with climate change or greenhouse gas emissions." Chris Martz, Meteorologist

WhatsApp’s “encryption” may be the biggest consumer fraud in history — deceiving billions of users. Despite its claims, it reads users’ messages and shares them with third parties. Telegram has never done this — and never will 🤝

I did this a year ago! I glued an Airtag to a plastic yogurt box Then put it in the recycle bin It ended up in waste burning plant and was not recycled, but burnt Recycling is a massive gigantic hoax with lots of big companies making billions off of it
Replying to @levelsio
We need to stick a waterproofed AirTag on some plastic and see where it goes

1960s - “Oil will run out in 10 years.” 1970s - “A new Ice Age is coming in 10 years.” 1980s - “Acid rain will destroy all crops in 10 years.” 1990s - “The ozone layer will disappear in 10 years.” 2000s - “The Arctic ice caps will be gone in 10 years.” 2010s - “Global warming will cause irreversible damage in 10 years unless we act now.” NONE of it happened, but every single prediction led to one thing: MORE TAXES.

BREAKING: Poland is officially exempting parents with two or more children from paying income tax. This is HUGE. The United States should do the same.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
As of October there is no such law in Poland. Newly elected President only submitted a draft of such bill - but it is not known whether the Parliament will pass it or not, so the President could not sign it as a binding law.
