If you, like me, have tried sccache with cargo and had it be basically useless, give kache a go: github.com/kunobi-ninja/kach… Works perfectly, out of the box. Just be sure to run `cargo clean` in any existing repo's before you build with kache enabled.

CDG airport has now taken the number one spot for worst passport control of any airport. Two people doing every non-EU citizen for two hours before they finally added some more. The incompetence is breathtaking.

How is it possible that @Telstra 's support is so infuriatingly bad. One hour on chat, zero progress. The person seemed to fail at basic comprehension, sending reset codes to my mobile number that I had repeatedly stated I was trying to regain access to...

It’s astounding how OpenTelemetry’s Go API feels like Java from 2002. Almost impressive.

You probably know the start of this Olympic story, but do you know how it finished? This photo is of Eric Moussambani, aka 'Eric the Eel' from Equatorial Guinea, competing in the 100m Freestyle event at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, alone. Why? /1

Coolest animal I've seen in Namibia was definitely the Secretary Bird. It legitimately looked and moved like a dinosaur. So cool.

This post reminds me just how shit Airbnb is and why I no longer use them. My last experience: as we were leaving, my Mum’s dog became suddenly ill, and died later that day. No response from the owner, charged me the $150 "cleaning fee". Airbnb refunded me later, at my behest.
Hotels > @Airbnb, a horror story 🫠 It’s 2:30am in London. Flight delayed 3 hours. Raining. I message our host that we’re going to miss the check in window. There’s a fee. Weird since it’s self check in, but ok We get to the airbnb and the lockbox doesn’t work. Rain, rain..

Has @YouTube’s content detection algorithm imploded? How is it possible there are channels like youtube.com/@horizonfilms592… with full movies available? Not to mention all the absolute garbage AI videos on the platform.

Tried out CommitMono and it is so similar to Menlo I couldn’t tell if I’d actually applied it in VSCode…!?! Looking at it in FontBook there are subtle differences though.
