Thanks for taking the time to listen to my story, @Womble101, and for putting it into perspective! Best wishes with the ongoing project. I look forward to reading others' tales from New Zealand sports media.
I’ve been working away on a new project for a wee while now. It’s called ‘The Kiwi Press Box’. First up is the awesome @aldersonnotes It’s free to view, so please have a look and like, share, subscribe etc.

Test cricket misfortune continues for Blair Tickner. In December, he dislocated a shoulder during his best bowling display for the @BLACKCAPS. Now he's become New Zealand's 1st concussion casualty after getting hit on the helmet by Jofra Archer. Zak Foulkes replaces him.
Tom Latham (134) and Devon Conway (144) have reached 288-0 on the 1st day of the 3rd test at Trent Bridge. That is the highest stand by any
@BLACKCAPS pair versus England, overtaking 276 between Stewie Dempster and Jackie Mills at Wellington in 1930 during the country's 2nd test.
The unbeaten opening stand of 245 between Tom Latham (115) and Devon Conway (120) on the 1st day of the 3rd test at Trent Bridge is the highest by any
@BLACKCAPS pair in England, overtaking a 5th wicket 236 between Daryl Mitchell and Tom Blundell at the same venue in 2022.
Tom Latham completes his 17th test century - and second against England - in his 95th test during a largely flawless opening stand with Devon Conway. 207-0 heading towards tea.
The unbeaten stand of 186 between Tom Latham (89) and Devon Conway (87) on the 1st day of the 3rd cricket test at Trent Bridge is the highest by an @BLACKCAPS opening pair in England, overtaking the 185 between John Wright and Trevor Franklin at Lord's in 1990.
The unbeaten stand of 164 from Tom Latham (81) and Devon Conway (73) midway through the 1st day of the 3rd test against England is the highest by an @BLACKCAPS opening pair at Trent Bridge. The most in England for the 1st wicket is 185 from Wright and Franklin at Lord's in 1990.
A perfect morning for cricket at one of the sport’s most alluring grounds. Fine toss for @BLACKCAPS to win and bat. They have triumphed once here (1986) in 10 attempts. The loss of Henry, Phillips and Jamieson is significant, but Santner, Sears and Tickner come in refreshed.
A quality team performance to start the post-Williamson era from @BLACKCAPS, levelling the test series against England at The Oval. nzherald.co.nz/sport/cricket…
A galvanising performance by the
@BLACKCAPS
to beat England by 253 runs at The Oval, levelling the series with the decider starting Thursday at Trent Bridge. Matt Henry's match figures of 11-109 are the best by a New Zealander against England, taking over from Dion Nash's 11-169.

Henry Nicholls has proven an admirable replacement for Kane Williamson at No.3 for @BLACKCAPS. His gritty ton, an 11th in tests, has given New Zealand a platform to push for victory against England at The Oval with two days to play and a burgeoning lead - currently 309.
Henry’s 5-80 and a 161-run 3rd-wicket partnership between Nicholls and Ravindra - the highest stand by any @BLACKCAPS in 10 tests at The Oval - will draw headlines, but Blundell was the talisman. His glovework standing up to pace was inspirational, especially catching Archer.
A gutsy maiden test century from @BLACKCAPS Glenn Phillips, including a gripping pantomime duel with Jofra Archer, as part of 391 all out in the second match against England. He becomes the second New Zealander to score a test ton at The Oval after John Wright's 119 in 1986.
