Here’s my take on the national review into the deaths of #ArthurLabinjoHughes & #StarHobson. The report clarifies a lot but my view is that the lived experience of #SocialWork & #ChildProtection still need to be better understood & taken account of theguardian.com/commentisfre…

Inspiring Practice Educator Conference happening now at
@UOB_SSCH Putteridgebury Campud with @ProsperaTedam and @SiobhanMaclean as key note speakers. Thank you both and well done to our practice learning team for organising this.

A new experience for me today... joining a conference virtually. The conference is 'face to face' and @Jojofinchers is there for real whilst @ProsperaTedam and I are joining virtually. I'm watching everyone arrive and really want to chat but can't. It's strange!
Great start of the Teaching Partnership Practice Education conference today at @UOB_SSCH @PutteridgeBury with a thought provoking and brilliant presentation from @ProsperaTedam

Indeed @Harr_Ferguson. Woefully ignorant piece by @ObserverUK. Quite staggering how they draw such simplistic conclusions like these whilst in the same breath acknowledging the complexity of the risks involved + lack of resources to properly support families and high caseloads.
Observer view that little has been learned from 20 yrs of “failures of the child protection system” is simplistic & wrong. Reasons why a small number of children aren’t protected always complex. Lessons have been learned, implementing them is hard. theguardian.com/commentisfre…
Come and work with us! We are a lovely and committed team!
