Teaching is wild because you canβt do your work at work because youβre working, so you do your work before and after work to keep up with all the work you couldnβt do, while you were working.
What a fabulous summer - a stunning cruise, lots of meals out, seeing friends and family and sorting out my classroom.
Hereβs to the 7th year of being a Deputy Head, 17th year as a teacher and lots of memories and challenges along the way.
Cheers!
Thatβs it! Finally finished the longest half term of my 16 year career to date!

In January we were judged 'Needs Attention' for Achievement.
6 months later, our Year 6 SATs are over 80% in R/W/M/SPaG.
What changed?
Not the teaching.β¨Not the curriculum.β¨Not the leadership.
The cohort.
Context matters. Judging schools by results, not progress, is the problem
One more week to go but incredibly proud of our SATs results! Cheers to those who have broken up already! π» π₯ π·

Out of interest, how much do you pay for breakdown cover? This includes home start, local and national cover? I stupidly forgot to stop renewal with RAC last year and this yearβs price is ridiculous. Help!!

Not a single assembly about it? And we wonder why we donβt have a tolerant society. It starts in the early years at an appropriate level. Must do better!
Moderation? Smashed it mate. β
Thank god thatβs over! Some beautiful comments by the moderator. Absolutely emotionally drained now. The visit was the easiest part. Why do we always feel like this?
Good luck to anyone else who is going through the process!

Happy #bookmarkMonday! Today, it's @RichardWh84's blog all about those micro moments that fall between the gaps.
I found this a really useful read, particularly, through the lens of inclusion and following our whole-school focus on routines, agreed consistencies and alignment.
Thanks, Richard, your book amazon.co.uk/Learning-Habits⦠is also in my Amazon basket! Have a great day, Cass
