I'm sitting next to a Lincoln impersonator at the airport bar. He's watching MSNBC reporting on yesterday's assassination attempt. This is easily the most surreal thing I've ever witnessed.

I was on a farm in Oz and they had a calf in a large paddock surrounded by some mild electric fencing. It would walk up to the fence, stick out its tongue, lick it, and get zapped. It would then look confused and then with intense focus and determination, lick it again.

I note with caution reports relating to the death of disgraced historian, holocaust denier and Hitler apologist, David Irving. Until such a point when the full facts can be established and indisputable evidence is presented, I will assume that all reports are a malicious lie.

You can outperform most venture funds by buying LEGO. I analyzed the last 20 years of secondhand LEGO pricing data, and found randomly purchasing sets will match most VC's returns if you're somewhat intentional about what you buy-- you massively outperform even the best firms

Love this chart from @martinstabe showing quite how few deaths are subject to inheritance tax in the UK. Great example of where showing the numerator within the context of the denominator is much more powerful than just plotting the percentage. ft.com/content/3996c757-3395…

I never understand why people do this “combined age” thing with the Rolling Stones. The combined age of a primary school class is about 275; does that mean they’re old? And let’s be frank, the Stones’ combined age is going *down*. Eventually it’ll be 0. SIMPLE MATHS.
