I strongly dislike Candace Owens. She can barely speak English and she’s snarky, smug, and arrogant, but I think she won this debate. I like Andrew Wilson, but he wasn’t an ideal choice to represent the official narrative. His strategy was to allow Candace to make a fool of herself and show viewers that she had no substantive evidence behind her claims. All true, but his efforts were insufficient and his gotchas just weren’t landing. Candace weathered his attacks and a couple of her gotchas did land, notably at the end when Wilson wasn’t able to name any of Tyler Robinson’s charges. That was a totally avoidable blunder on Wilson’s part, and he should never have allowed Candace room to get one on him like that. This debate obviously did not sway opinions either way. Wilson was a suboptimal choice of opponent. Candace sounded retarded the whole time but successfully managed to shift burden of proof back on Wilson which, in turn, caused Wilson to falter because he didn’t thoroughly prepare for the debate. Extremely mediocre debate.
