need help!! Are you in the game dev industry?! If yes, would you answer these questions please. 1. What does the typical day look like as a game dev? 2. What would be the expectations for somebody who's starting up in the industry? 1/2.. (RT appreciated)

Red flag is when a company advertising for a job posting doesn't disclose the expected salary range nor give you an answer even after your interview 🤦‍♀️

If you want to practice the GitHub forking/pull request workflow use a test repo, there are many available, do not use a real project github .com/EddieHubCommunity/open-source-practice Like, comment + RT for reach!

I think people have misconceived the concept of “humans being replaced by AI in their job”. Think about it in this way. As a developer, in the past whenever you got stuck somewhere you would go to StackOverflow (manually curated human-generated questions and answers) or ask for help from your seniors (also humans). Now, You might go to popular and tuned models like ChatGPT to get the answers. I can barely remember the last time I searched for a code related problem on Google. I always go to ChatGPT, copy paste the code, and ask for help. “AI replacing humans” is the basic idea of reducing human interference in the work of other humans so that one can work with their full potential. ChatGPT has already replaced many indirect human efforts. A lot to come, think about it.

I used to wish I had it the same as others, I thought I'd have a job before I finished college so I stressed well too much over it. But now I've realised that everyone has a different path and it doesn't matter how long it takes, we all have our own races to run 😊

And my company only hires interns after they get their degree, smh so it's always harder for people to find internships during school times because internships aren't mandatory in certain programs and departments
