This week I saw a woman bike down a steep hill with a speaker dangling from her waist blasting Shaggy's Mr. Boombastic. And in her backback? A real live corgi. It was smiling. Some people know how to have fun.

Reader, the cheesecake was not foolproof. A catastrophic baking failure by every measure. Currently trying to salvage it to a place of edibility (beauty is out of the question now).
People who bake to relax, how does that work? Attempting to make a Japanese “jiggly” cheesecake & haven’t been this stressed in ages. Got seduced by the word “foolproof.” Kitchen looks like a bomb hit it. Could have lived my whole life not knowing what a Bain Marie is but noooo.
Last night I watched The Menu. Gripping, hilarious and twisted but ultimately pretty nonsensical. Unsatisfying ending but it didn’t really matter because the fun was in the blood we shed along the way. Loved it!
Just watched White Noise. Didn’t really work for me (bizarre/distracting casting choice in Adam Driver for the lead role, for one) but there were some delightful moments. I’m glad it got made and I admire the attempt.
Punishing myself for my horrible decision to rent Top Gun Maverick by watching all of Top Gun Maverick.
