One year later, @vonderleyen & @EP_President still fail to recognise the root causes of the violence in #Gaza & hold #Israel accountable. The reality of Palestinian suffering under Israeli occupation, apartheid & ethnic cleansing continues to be distorted in their narratives.

The widespread devastation and massacres of the Israeli army in #Jenin and other parts of occupied northern West Bank, where Hamas is not ruling, are a powerful reminder that Hamas is just the last excuse for the State of #Israel to wreak the Palestinian territory havoc. Everywhere for 57 years Israel has made life impossible for Palestinians under a brutal military occupation, seeking to realize a “#GreaterIsrael”. In agreement with the Palestinians in the oPt, an int'l #ProtectionPresence must be immediately deployed to stop the massacres, wanton destruction and forced displacement.
This is the eastern quarter of Jenin refugee camp now. The Israeli regime and its military are ruthless. Leaving nothing but destruction.

#BDSworks! Activists have forced French multinational insurer @AXA to divest from Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest weapons manufacturer, and from ALL major Israeli banks. These banks are the backbone of Israel’s illegal settlement enterprise on occupied Palestinian lands.

Absolute trash humans who are going after a young woman who has had the strength, wherewithal, to find words and energy to report on surviving genocide. They want us to die the most horrific deaths and to do it quietly. Let our victory be our revenge. #Gaza #Genocide #Nakba

To be clear, around 33 times more Palestinians have been killed than Israelis (and 99.9% of those Israelis were killed 10 months ago). Palestinians continue to be killed right now - with Biden-supplied arms - as I type out this tweet.
Joe Biden on Gaza at the DNC: Those protesters out in the street, they have a point. A lot of innocent people are being killed, on both sides.

We are concerned by videos & reports of excessive use of force by police against protestors at a Palestine solidarity demonstration in Berlin on Saturday. We demand independent investigations into the police officers involved. #Protecttheprotest

Dems have to listen. This is not about niceties or identity politics but accountability. Democrats cant be leading a genocide for 10 months and demand respectability politics by threatening that the alternative is worse. Genocide is not better if facilitated w empathy. #Gaza

Shame on every journalist in the West who has sat silently by and not said a word as over a hundred of their colleagues in Gaza have been killed by Israel, again and again and again. What happened to ‘journalism is not a crime’? To standing for press freedom? Shame on them.
This is the moment journalists in Gaza found out that their colleagues, Al Jazeera journalist Ismail al-Ghoul and his cameraman Ramy El Rify, were killed in an Israeli strike on Gaza City, bringing the number of killed Palestinian journalists since 7 October to 165. Video by: osama.s.ashi

“We do everything. We wear our press jackets. We wear our helmets. But we have been targeted in normal places where normal citizens are.” Al Jazeera's journalist Hind Khoudary reports on the killing of her colleagues, journalist Ismail al-Ghoul and cameraman Rami al-Rifee, who were killed by an Israeli air strike that targeted their car in Gaza. Al-Ghoul and al-Rifee were targeted after they finished their coverage. They were on their way to al-Ahli Arab Hospital after being asked to leave the area by Israeli forces. The New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists has reported that 108 media workers have been killed as of July 5, making this the deadliest period since the group began gathering data in 1992.
