Every released Palestinian has recounted the horrific abuse they faced.
Yet there is silence from the media and our elected officials.
Palestinian ex-detainee Mohammed Abu Tawila was released a week ago after enduring extreme torture in Israeli prisons. He was taken a year ago from Gaza while visiting friends.
During interrogations, he was exposed to highly corrosive chemicals, including acid and flammable substances, causing severe burns and the loss of sight in his left eye.
His physical and psychological condition is critical, and he urgently needs medical treatment abroad.
