Systematic portfolio trader sharing my journey. Public portfolios, lessons learned, and advice I've gained along the way.

This took me a while to understand. I used to run different trading systems on mostly a small basket of asset classes. A much better way to improve diversification is to run different systems on the widest possible range of instruments. 🔻

Patience isn't a virtue if your trading system doesn't work. It's just slow bleeding.

Last share of the day: I do have ~10k books & papers on my hard drive. Most are copyrighted, so I can't freely share them. However, I deployed a few agents to summarize them into useful .md files. These are useful for me, and are useful to put in my AI contexts. I am not entirely happy am still working on revising and improving them. They are grouped in the folders below. They are still < 700 items but will grow. I thought I'd make them available, at least for a while. Link to shared folder in reply. Enjoy.

bitcoin:native ~flat +0.03% / ethereum:native ~flat -0.05% — weekend quiet for now, no 5% swing - SEC's steadiest crypto advocate Hester Peirce to DEPART next week. - Fed advancing GENIUS Act stablecoin rules. - BTC ETF flows turned positive for 2026 after erasing .8B hole.

Not sure how you guys handle this one, but it's happened to me a few times. Some macro data gets heavily revised after the fact, and I'm not sure how a proper backtest should account for that.

Asked Claude if we could lower the gate in a backtest since it's almost impossible to beat. Answer: "Keep the gate. The rule gets written before any test." Based af tbh.

Expected value makes sense if you are going to play a game many times for a sufficient sample. Expected value is meaningless to a player for a single investment, insurance, or lottery. Expectation has value for the house to set price, not for the player.
A 2 dollar lottery ticket with a 1 in 300 million chance of a 500 million dollar payout has an expected value of negative 33 cents. A 30 thousand dollar car insured against theft in a neighborhood where 1 in 200 cars is stolen a year is worth positive 150 dollars in expected value. The math to compute either one takes 4 seconds. Almost no one runs it. Andrew Lo has been teaching Session 1 of MIT 15.401 since 2003. The Fall 2008 recording sits free on MIT OpenCourseWare. Every decision his students will ever make, from a stock trade to a job offer to which route to drive home, reduces to the same 4-second calculation. Expected value equals probability times payoff. Institutional desks run it before every trade. Retail investors run it before none. The gap between them has a name and it is not luck. The math is free. The willingness to run it before you sign is the entire fortune.

Tweet of the century.
Every single thing you dislike about work and life came from an idiot in motion who thought they were going further than a genius at rest.

Introducing Ondo Intelligent Portfolios, the first three portfolios powered by BlackRock. Ondo Intelligent Portfolios introduces a new onchain product category: curated investment portfolios delivered as single onchain transferable tokens. The first three portfolios are based on portfolio strategies developed by BlackRock for Ondo, marking the first time eligible onchain investors can access exposure to such strategies through a single token. 1. BLKHIon: Ondo High Income Powered by BlackRock 2. BLKDIGon: Ondo Diversified Growth Powered by BlackRock 3. BLKGRWon: Ondo High Growth Powered by BlackRock Diversified, professionally constructed strategies have historically required brokerage accounts and traditional fund structures. Now, delivered as peer-to-peer transferable tokens from Ondo, these onchain portfolios become accessible to eligible non-US investors in permitted jurisdictions through the wallets, exchanges, and DeFi applications they already use. “Tokenization creates new ways for portfolio strategies to be delivered through digital infrastructure. Diversified portfolio strategies can be incorporated into tokenized investment products, enabling eligible investors to access diversified allocations through a single instrument. It shows how established portfolio construction approaches can be delivered through new channels and technologies.” - Lisa O’Connor, Global Head of the Model Portfolio Solutions team and Co-CIO for Global Solutions within the Multi-Asset Strategies group at BlackRock Ondo Intelligent Portfolios can unlock novel capabilities: → Programmatic rebalancing → Full composability with DeFi → Complete transparency onchain → Multiple asset classes in a single token This is just the start for Ondo Intelligent Portfolios. The infrastructure is now in place for leading financial institutions to bring their asset allocation expertise onchain.

Opus 5.5 is so good (and fast) that for the first time in months I cleaned up my task queue before I could refill it, and now I'm left with this sort of mildly melancholic feeling

On trading with the stars: if it works, it works, I don't care why. Backtest it though, probably doesn't.

My backtest: genius. My live account: never heard of him.

Opus 5.5 looks like a monster model for quant work, cheap, ultra-fast, very smart. I'm almost shaking.

Not sure I even understand what we're talking about, but reposting for the classical autistic David (def my team) vs criminal Golia Kalshi vibes.
This thread is 100% gonna blow up and I am gonna look like a salty c****again but @icobeast pissed me off so now it's gonna get ugly Kalshi fakes their crypto volume and I can prove it NOTHING pisses me off more than watching a company treat its own customers like complete fucking idiots Grab some popcorn cause I dissected every piece of evidence one by one until there’s basically no way for him to respond without making this look even worse Oh and FYI, I left every source at the end so y’all can check the receipts yourselves 😘 1/x

🚨 The CFTC is reviewing trading in Kalshi's ether perps market before deciding whether to open an enforcement investigation, per WSJ. More than a third of recent trades clustered around $5,500, totaling over $5 billion in volume in a month. unchainedcrypto.com/cftc-wei…

$USOIL liquidity wins, as usual. Thanks for playing.

It seems like most discussions on this app are about whether someone got the price right or wrong? I think that says a lot about their portfolios.

My diversification rule isn't strategy count. It's market-state coverage: at least one live strategy per regime, so no cold logic leaves a whole state uncovered.
