Fever Meme is now on Steam and set to (hopefully) launch July 4th. :) store.steampowered.com/app/3… If you liked The Stanley Parable, Undertale, or classic rage games like I Wanna Be the Guy, this game is a cross between all of them. #indiedev Wishlists are greatly appreciated. <3
A NEW LAW WAS JUST LEAKED that would:
- Stop me from making Fever Meme 2, and 99% of other indie devs from making games in the future.
- Make it illegal for you to host your own server for ANY game or play any game that ALLOWS for custom servers or mods.
- You can no longer play games for longer than an hour.
- Blocking the ability to take screenshots.
- Requiring you to fully doxx yourself to play any game at all.
- And a lot LOT more.
PLEASE watch this video and if you are from Europe, sign the initiative to STOP this law before it gets the chance to pass. DO NOT LET THIS PASS.

Okay fine, I'll actually do the trend.
I've been playing games on both PC and console for roughly as long as I've known how to speak, so narrowing the list down to 9 was always going to be hard.
Super Mario World is what first got me interested in level design (as did a lot of early Nintendo games). I was drawing levels in MS Paint as early as age 4 (or 5?), way before level editors like Lunar Magic were a thing. In fact, I'm pretty sure I still have those drawings on an old HD somewhere. They were about as cringe as a modern day Mario Maker level.
After that, my brain kinda lumps Paper Mario 64, its sequel TTYD, and the Mario & Luigi series all together, because around that time I started using a really obscure program called Game Maker (which was eventually used to make Undertale over a decade later).
Meanwhile, before I had consistent internet access as a kid, Super Smash Bros 64 (and Melee) were what got me interested in playing games competitively. The Game Cube was actually the last console I personally owned before I exclusively started only playing PC games.
Wolfenstein 3D was the first FPS I ever played, but Quake was a bigger inspiration for me, and I spent significantly more time playing it (somehow I've still never played Doom to this day). Half-Life was a pretty natural discovery given its proximity to Quake, and anybody who's ever played it understands how groundbreaking and influential that game was without me having to speak for it. Then naturally, when CS came around I got into that, since it started as a Half-Life mod before Valve bought it.
For a while I put game development on the back burner, because Quake 3 (later Quake Live) and CS 1.6, along with the competitive communities they once had, basically became the center of my life for a very long time. Time kinda just blended together and I met so many people, played on teams, went to LAN tournaments, and made a lotta memories. Looking back, I'd say CS 1.6 and Quake 3 were the best competitive FPS games we've ever had to date. By then I played PC games exclusively, and since Valve didn't release any new competitive games for a while, those were all I played. At one point I even played StarCraft 2 competitively and fell in love with it for a while. Eventually Valve released Dota 2, and I had a bit of a MOBA phase before CS:GO came out. Then, obviously, Overwatch came out and I had a pretty good run in that.
As time went on, I accomplished a lot of what I wanted to in the competitive games I played. I refocused on game development around 2021, entered some game jams, and eventually made Fever Meme despite all the personal things going on at the time.
And now here we are.
My birthday is coming up on October 6th... and as much as it would be incredible to finish Fever Meme 2 by then, that just isn't gonna happen. I'll realistically spend my entire birthday working on it. The scope of this sequel is way beyond the original game, and despite the first game's massive success it's stil JUST ME making it. Maybe on my birthday I'll find something I'm ok with leaking from the sequel. Anyways, I appreciate you all. :)
You can't make this shit up: I was making such good progress on Fever Meme 2 and then someone cuts my fiber line by mistake. No internet for 3 days. Thankfully it'll be fixed by tomorrow. On the bright side, I'm really happy with how the game is turning out so far. It's already bigger than the original game. Still a lot to do but I think things will pick up in pace soon.
It really does make my day seeing so many people still enjoying my game and reaching out. I've been mentally checked out for personal reasons and going through a lot right now, but seeing the impact I've had on others really is so uplifting and I'm very grateful for all of you.
1 year ago today I released Fever Meme, not really knowing what would become of it. It would have been cool to get Fever Meme 2 done by today... but realistically that was never going to happen. A worthy sequel takes time, but I promise when it drops it will be worth it.
