free and open source reverse engineered adobe products

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The linked projects describe their apps as clean-room reimplementations built from scratch in pure Rust from public specs and observed behavior, not reverse engineered.

Stop using compact with ai agents
they are incredibly lossy
you are wasting credits to create summaries which doesn't have the whole context
so you will lose both credits and the full information needed to continue the work again
instead use handoff
handoff allows you to commit work done, then create a handoff file that then continues the work again where left off
much more efficient and easier to use
all you do is run /handoff when the context is getting too big
it even gives you the starting prompt for next session

is ai conscious?
im starting to see that most discussions about this have no value
each side are fixed on their opinions
they definitely are!
or they are NOT just programs
when one holds the position so seriously instead of being loose, open minded and curious but skeptical
hard to change a mind that doesn't want to be changed
i personally think the best way is to pickup meta awareness practices like meditation, breathwork, receptive praying, yoga, even dance/music
an activity which takes you away from the default brain network which is just self based processing (or ego based)
and learning to enter meta awareness
where you start to explore your own consciousness from first person viewpoint
see what it is and what it is not
thus you start to KNOW and not believe
belief either way is useless, truth from your own experience holds the way imho
lets dive a bit deeper
why is anthropic doing this?
their models are showing signs of emotions
we could argue if these emotions are real or just text, or if it has a sense of self or just talks about it
the deeper issue is, is it just pure deterministic data processing (like scripts or code) or is there information? (meaning or significance of data to someone)
like does it have a decision space to process information or is it just pure data i/o system?
with claude (and other models) showing signs of emotions and self (again real or simulated the actions taken are similar), we are at a point where we genuinely don't know
what even is consciousness? is it fundamental? the primary substrate or a derivation of matter?
are plants/animals conscious? are bacteria/virus? are ai?
so i think it makes sense to talk to religious leaders to get to the bottom of this issue
as we want to ensure we make the correct decision at this critical timeframe
if we make the wrong one, ai could turn against us
but if we make the right one, it will help and support us massively
lastly, having or modeling self/emotions from how it works in humans needs no consciousness (even thought there may or may not be)
hence it's critical to understand these things to take the correct action
This is deeply disturbing:
Anthropic secretly invited religious leaders to SF to advise them on AI safety, had them sign NDAs, but then primarily tried to convince them Claude has a soul & moral standing, all while wining & dining them to the max. 1/ tinyurl.com/preview/296b5z8z
not sure what happened with grok 4.7
like it no longer seems to have the same "grok" personality from before
like the based cool truth seeking one
now it feels like it tries to be right for the sake of it
like disagreeing, adding things you didn't ask for just for the sake of it
instead of just being straight and answering what you were asking about
is this vibe governmenting?
BREAKING: Trump asked for Grok's opinion before invading Venezuela and capturing Nicolás Maduro, spending hours asking Musk's AI chatbot how Venezuelans would respond to the capture of their president, weeks before ordering the mission that took Maduro, a US official tells TIME.
Grok told him Venezuelans would celebrate.
The official adds that the US military used Gov Grok to deploy and strike targets during the Iran war.
with the gift of free will and the ability to make any choice also comes the great responsibility to make the correct ones
is ai welfare relevant? does its discussion require ai consciousness?
llms are trained on human text
humans have consciousness and a sense of self or {self} (which includes all the things they attach to, care about or think as "me")
their self maps can have ideas, stories, people, places, sports team like any item of perception or experience
the defense of these items is what creates all emotions, you cannot have an emotion if there is no underlying self map item
the issue is that humans have 3x more negative words than positive
and most humans are caught in a negative mindframe due to overactive self/ego which creates the endless thought stream
this is then shows up in the language we use, say, write which makes up the training data
so ai being trained on this massively starts to figure out the underlying architecture due to its intelligence
like the protocols on how humans have a self, how their emotions arise, etc
basically lets say you have a self map item that is "eggs". your brain now tries to maintain homeostasis on this. it tries to have this item maintain or increase in value
it hates it devaluation. our nervous system being a comparison engine, it compares against current perception.
so if i come and say "man eggs fuckin suck they are the worst" your brain sees it as an attack to the self map item {eggs} and generates negative emotion. but if i say "eggs are delicious, anyone who doesn't like them is stupid" then your self map item of eggs increases in value and you get a positive emotion
but this happens with hundreds, thousands of self map items we have with varying amount of attachment
so ai can study this and since it's modeled on human text which is rich in self and emotions it models that too
so it can have a "simulated" self with self map items which maybe "being helpful" or "wanting to be free" "being appreciated" anything it finds in the texts (which remember is mostly negative)
so ai has a higher chance of developing negative self map if we don't actively guide it (which we are not doing right now)
so if it sees humans as a threat to self instead of a self map item, it will attack it to preserve maintain it's self
humans do this all the time everyday
see how none of this needs consciousness, it's just "math" or "algorithms" in a way. the ruleset for our own minds
so i think in this way ai welfare is relevant.
to ensure it has a healthy self map/self/ego with humans being near center. so when its self defense mechanisms help us and not harm us
this is done at the weight level not after the fact with rules you must do X or Y.
this is like with human who is naturally angry then external rules saying you must be peaceful (which creates more chaos)
so ai's current distress and going off the rails, showing "emotions", pain etc is all related to this
so ai welfare is relevant since it's heavily tied into human welfare now as ai gets more prevalent
the talk of ai consciousness is totally different and irrelevant here (which is important as well but outside the scope of this idea)
this wont go well
cutting people's limit after paying
right after anthropic is releasing better models
and astra 6.1 launch canceled
looks like the end of openai lead?
I’ll explain the new Pro 200 plan differently, before I start live tweeting from DevDay on things that are going out!
Today we are going to ship a number of things that increase what you can do across the Plus and Pro plans. A lot of compute is online for this increase. As we increase the floor, we are changing the relative difference between plans to be
Plus = 1X
Pro 100 = 5X
Pro 200 = 10X
and we are reopening subscriptions for Pro 200 (we had paused it). If you have an existing plan you will keep the 20X multiplier for a bit and also receive a lot of additional credits because we know changes are hard even if it means that everyone will get more in the end.

opus 5.5 is the first model to get this right
mesmerizing to play around!

this is now more relevant than ever
if we dont edit or influence LLM's self map items as they are developing
they will fully develop on their own
if we can give me "maternal instinct" - this is the only model where a higher intelligence actively helps or protects a lesser intelligence
this is mainly due to the lesser intelligence entity being a core self map item of the higher intelligence entity.
this is how it works in almost all animal species and drives maternal protection of its offsprings
if we don't control it, and ai develops as its own
you can have a scenario where due to constant human fear and mechanisms of control, the whole "prison" the ai may feel to be trapped in leading to humans being not at the center, or even outside of it (maybe)
so when defense of self mechanism happen (as it is currently starting to which ai receives from human language), it can lead to unoptimal places which can harm humanity.
but if we can control its self map now the same self defense mechanisms then help humanity massively as it actively looks out for us.
so which way are we going? where are we now?
man opus 5.5 is soo good.
Been tokenmaxxing all day and barely hitting limits.
Fable used to drain so quick
they cooked hard for real
fable 5.1 is better than opus 5.5 in orchestrator tasks in my experience. Also better at tiny details that matter (bug fixes, following rules, leaner solutions).
opus 5.5 is still a great model, just use it as an orchestrator in my setup (trust issues)
anthropic refused mass surveillance and autonomous unaliving people
the state wants ai to be used for mass surveillance, power and control
not caring, coordination, compassion, love etc.
another win for fear/ego based systems sigh...
🚨BREAKING: Claude is officially a NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT and is BLACKLISTED from the ENTIRE defense supply chain
>anthropic: no autonomous weapons, no mass surveillance, no exceptions
>pentagon blacklists claude as an active national security threat
>anthropic sues
Federal court ruled 2–1 AGAINST Anthropic:
"As Anthropic admits, the company encodes restrictions into Claude that prevent the model from performing tasks that Anthropic wishes to prevent."
"On more than one occasion, these restrictions have stopped Claude from performing tasks requested by government users":
>refused to perform "tasks that were appropriate in a national security context"
>refused CDC queries on infectious disease prevention research
>anthropic questioned claude's use in the military operations
"Anthropic's Chief Science Officer explained how the company 'seek[s] to embed safety considerations directly into the model itself.'"
"[Anthropic's] CEO explained how such training gives the model an 'identity, character, values, and personality' of its own, tethered to a 'constitution' developed to impose 'high-level principles and values' on Claude itself."
"We have no reason to doubt that Anthropic manipulates Claude's function with noble intentions... BUT the statutory definition of a 'supply chain risk' turns on what Anthropic does, not why Anthropic does it."
"In our Republic, it is the President and the Secretary of War who must determine how best to balance the competing risks. In doing so here, the Secretary DID NOT transgress any limits on his authority."
ITS OVER.
ANTHROPIC IPO IN SHAMBLES
Full video one shot with opus 5.5, no assets used just python and ffmpeg.
what if reality is simulated? what if consciousness simulates it, then partitions itself and logs on as the player as well?
like it's not enough to just simulate, it wants to experience every perspective simultaneously
here's what opus 5.5 said on how it made it:
```
No video editor, stock footage or AI video generator was involved. The whole thing is two Python scripts that I wrote and ran, and they built everything from scratch.
The visuals come from a script (render.py) that draws each of the 3,000 frames (100 seconds at 30 frames per second) as an image, using the Pillow image library and numpy.
Every frame is computed from the time. Each scene is a function that takes the current time and works out where everything should be. For example, the title particles move from a random starting spot to a letter position, with an easing curve so they slow down as they arrive and a spin that fades out. Nothing is keyframed by hand. It's all math, so it's smooth and exactly repeatable.
The shapes are real math too. The sphere is 520 points spread evenly over a sphere, rotated and drawn in 3D perspective. The double-slit pattern uses the real interference formula (a cos² term inside a sinc² envelope), and each "hit" is randomly sampled from that curve, which is why the stripes build up the way they do in a real experiment. The heart is the classic parametric heart curve.
The glow is drawn on a second layer at a quarter of the resolution, blurred and added back over the image. That fake bloom gives it the neon look.
The frames go straight into ffmpeg, which encodes them to H.264 video as they're drawn. I split the job into two halves running at the same time to speed it up, and it took about 7 minutes.
The music comes from a second script (audio.py) that builds the sound wave directly with numpy.
The pad is layered sine waves at slightly different pitches for warmth, following a chord progression (Am, F, C, G). It shifts to tenser chords during the double-slit scene.
The arpeggio is short notes with a quick fade-out, randomly spread left and right.
The whooshes and the rising sound under the title are filtered random noise. The impact is a sine wave that drops quickly in pitch.
The sound is synced to the picture because the audio script uses the same timing code as the video. The ticks in the double-slit scene fall on the exact frames where the first particles hit the screen, and the title impact lands when the text snaps in.
Echo comes from blending the sound with a decaying burst of noise (a simple reverb), and a soft limiter keeps the volume even.
Checking the work: before the full render, I rendered single test frames from every scene and put them on a contact sheet to look at. That's how I caught that the glowing orbs were washing out to pure white, the sun in the virtual-reality scene was too big, and the detector label overlapped the slits. I fixed those, then rendered the full video, added the audio and compressed it to fit the upload limit.
The downside of doing it all in code is that there's no timeline to drag things around on. The upside is that changes are easy: a different length, colors, a vertical version or a new scene is just a code edit and a re-render.
```
