Oof... I'm still the mayor of some places. Also had a similar outcome (although on a much smaller scale), so hits close to home on many levels.
Foursquare was acquired last month. The outcome was disappointing. It's taken me a while to write this, but I think I'm finally done grieving it. Here are some thoughts on our final years, an effort to honor the team who helped build & maintain FSQ's legacy, and my attempt to finally get some closure. teendrama.substack.com/p/som…

My reactions to bank notifications on subscription charges: Spotify: yeah, makes sense, I guess. Netflix: maybe I should start rotating it with other services? Anthropic: SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

My heart goes out to all Slovenians who felt like they have to settle for a 10-letter misspelled .com instead of getting a 4-letter common word .si 💔

TIL that many younger developers have never heard the term "chrome" outside of Google's browser context 🤯 Had to explain + still rename a variable, as it was confusing for them.

Jev is now live on nexos.ai. This TypeSafe AI's model makes decisions, not text. Give it your app's state and a yes/no, multiple-choice or scale question. It returns a typed answer with a calibrated probability, ready for your code to use with nothing to parse. Automate the confident calls and route the uncertain ones to a person. Jev is built for the decisions software makes millions of times a day: ▪️Route a support ticket to the right team. ▪️Flag which signups look like fraud. ▪️Decide if a message breaks your content rules. ▪️Choose the next step for an agent. ▪️Decide if a workflow should pause for a human. What you get in the nexos.ai AI Gateway: ▪️Jev in the model catalog, on a new endpoint: /v1/systemone. ▪️Official SDKs work as-is — swap the base URL and API key. ▪️Governed like every other model: budgets, token guards, usage metrics. You can start building with Jev now: docs.nexos.ai/gateway-api/sy…

Smart Router is now open for early access in the nexos.ai Gateway. And it's smart for a reason: we tested it against real customer traffic and cut their coding costs by 60%. 😎 Smart Router routes requests based on live session data, mixing European-hosted frontier and open-weight models, in the same workflow: ▪ Routine work – edits, diffs, file writes – goes to most cost-effective, European-hosted AI models like Kimi and GLM. ▪ Anything that actually needs frontier-level reasoning still goes to models like Opus. That mix, not a single "cheaper" model, is what gets you the AI cost cut. Watch the video where @mantas_urnieza , nexos.ai Senior Product Manager, breaks down how Smart Router works.

TFW you developed something manually, named the files and directories sloppily, and now ask Claude Code to do some new work. And it tries to find logic in your naming and structure before continuing. LOL.

Nothing makes me want to buy your product more than you trying to sell it in a currency that has been gone for 10+ years.

TFW your wife accidentally(?) opens a bottle of champagne instead of wine while cooking risotto. I guess day-drinking day it is...

Not that I want to use Antigravity, but this makes you rethink: a) using all important services from one company b) using Google SSO (or any other, for that matter) to login to other services The probability of losing your own domain is orders of magnitude lower.
Antigravity's terms of services make it crystal clear that if they determine you use Antigravity in a way they suspect is eg third-party usage (eg use OpenClaw), they can suspend your Google account. One reason to NOT use Antigravity. I'm not taking this risk, sorry.

Trillion-dollar company Meta has this spinner as the only "progress" indicator while posting a video. No idea if 10 seconds, 10 minutes, or 10 hours to go. Or maybe it's already stuck, and nothing is happening. 🤬
