And another one. This makes me sad and angry at the same time. Shen has been one of the most important builders and contributors in the XRPL ecosystem.
I have been saying it for over a year now, and Shen said it again perfectly: "I just hope that in the future those with the resources to support interesting and innovative builds on the XRPL actually put those resources into the ecosystem (something that feels like it has not been happening over the last couple years)"
The XRPL ecosystem is slowly dying, despite the fancy news and developments you see, and most people just decide to ignore the elephant in the room and look the other way. More talent is leaving than coming, liquidity is non existent, proper dev tools are still lacking, zero meaningful support and opportunities for the builders, zero focus on retail/consumer apps that are necessary to make the XRPL successful. There are many ways to prevent all these, but first, the community and the people in charge must acknowledge that there is a problem.
One of the most difficult decisions we’ve had to make at Gen3. After ~5 years of building on the XRPL (since before XLS-20), we sadly cannot justify to continue to pour time, money and energy into building retail-focused platforms.
We had the pleasure of pioneering a variety of different products within the XRP ecosystem, from one of the first gaming NFT collections (@zerpmon), to the very-first autonomous agents that could use XRPL primitives (@aigentdotrun), to XRP’s first prediction market (@AxiomProtocol_), to building all of the core marketplace/DEX infrastructure for XRPL Sidechain; TRN alongside Futureverse (@The_Tradeverse).
We experienced many ups and downs through these years, and witnessed the ecosystem go through many different changes and evolutions, but we are no longer able to see a future where we can sustainably run a retail-focused platform on the XRPL as a team of builders.
It really pains me to say this, as I’ve dedicated much of my life over the last 5 years to building on the XRPL, and have made many sacrifices in other parts of my life to fulfil this journey. Everyone at Gen3 put so much of their time, energy and commitment towards trying to build the platforms that will onboard the next generation of users to the XRPL, and I’m so proud of every single one of them, I could not have asked for a better or more talented team to work with over the last few years.
I’d also like to say thanks to everyone that supported us throughout this journey, XRPL Commons, RippleX, Tenity, DIFC, Futureverse, and Victus Global, just to name a few. And a massive thankyou to everyone who supported our platforms through using and sharing them, it meant the world to us and is primarily what kept us going for so long.
So where does this leave us? Gen3 will continue to be a part of the XRPL and support the evolution of the ledger but from a different angle. We will still operate and maintain our dUNL validator node, as well as reviewing/testing/discussing and voting on upcoming amendments. After building on the XRPL for so long, we have developed a deep technical understanding and appreciation for the technology and remain committed to supporting the technical growth of this ecosystem.
Personally, I will be taking a bit of a break from building and socials to “touch grass” and revive some of the parts of my life that have suffered from constant building day-in day-out for years. But, I’m sure eventually I’ll be back, there is something addictive about building around an asset like XRP…
It is such a shame that it has come to this, and the finger could be pointed in many different directions (including at ourselves), but I don't think that would do any good. I just hope that in the future those with the resources to support interesting and innovative builds on the XRPL actually put those resources into the ecosystem (something that feels like it has not been happening over the last couple years). There is a severe lack of funding opportunities for startups in the XRPL space that aren't already generating revenue from other chains or have strong relationships to those with the resources.
But, at the end of the day, no one owes anyone anything, and we're all just trying to follow what we think will improve the ecosystem and allow us to continue building on a daily basis. For us, we just don't believe that is through retail-focused platforms on the XRPL anymore. Personally, eyes are on the institutions.
Again, thanks to every single person that has supported us through this journey and that I've had the pleasure of meeting at some point, and can now call my friend. That is worth so much more than anything else we could have got out of this. 💜

This is a hard post to write.
About four years ago, I joined Zerpmon as a moderator. I had no idea that it would turn into a full time role with Gen3, working in marketing and business development across products that I truly believed could help bring more people into the XRP Ledger. I came into XRPL as a community member, and launched one of the very first NFT projects on the XRPL.
Gen3 gave me some of the best opportunities of my life.
I attended events in the United States and Asia. I spent time living with my family in Thailand and The Philippines. I met builders and friends i now consider family from all over the world, made real friendships, and had more calls, late nights, pitch meetings, community conversations, and X Spaces than I could count.
I am incredibly thankful to the entire Gen3 team for believing in me and giving me that opportunity.
From the business development and marketing side, I had a front row seat to both the potential of XRPL and the challenges facing it.
I spoke with founders who wanted to build here. I spoke with communities looking for new things to rally around. I spoke with partners, investors, and people at events who were curious about XRP but needed a reason to become active users.
Aigent was built around the belief that AI agents could give people new ways to interact with the ledger.
Axiom was built around the belief that a prediction market could be a simple, engaging entry point for new retail users.
We did not build these things because they were easy. We built them because we thought they could create a new path into XRPL for people who were not already deeply involved.
We got some traction. We had people use the products, give feedback, join the conversations, and believe in the vision. But ultimately, it was not enough to sustain the type of business and team required to keep pushing forward.
Building for retail on XRPL is hard. Not because there is no talent here. There is plenty of it. Not because the technology has no potential. I still believe deeply in the technology.
You need users, liquidity, attention, capital, partnerships, and a way to keep momentum going long enough for a product to find its footing. When those things are missing, even a passionate team that is actively shipping can only carry the weight for so long.
I have seen a lot of projects and founders come to XRPL excited about what they could build, then slowly realize how difficult it is to find the support needed to keep building. A few teams have found a way through, and I have nothing but respect for them.
I do not want this to turn into finger pointing. I do not think that helps anyone, and I know no one is owed funding or success. But I do think we can do better for the next group of builders..
More visibility for teams from Ripple that are shipping. More introductions to potential partners and investors. Better paths to funding. More shared focus on bringing in retail users and making it easier for them to stay. More support between communities instead of everyone staying in separate lanes.
A simple repost, introduction, collaboration, or conversation at the right time can matter more than people realize.
I was recently honored with a speaker role at Swell 2026 this October. The topic was meant to be Axiom, prediction markets, and the opportunity to grow XRPL through new retail use cases. With Axiom now paused, I am still figuring out whether I will attend. But being offered that opportunity reminded me that the work did matter, even if it did not reach the outcome we hoped for.
I will still be around. We will keep supporting the XRP Ledger through our dUNL and the work behind the scenes that helps keep the network moving forward.
I am proud of what we tried to build. I am grateful for everyone who gave their time, feedback, support, and belief to these products.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
It is with heavy hearts that we've unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to spin down @aigentdotrun and @AxiomProtocol_ due to a lack of user demand and increasing infrastructure costs.
We will keep the platforms running for one more month until 13/09/2026, in order for users to have ample time to take out any funds left on the platforms.
Gen3 will continue to operate our core XRPL network infrastructure and participate in the technical evolution of the ledger through the amendment process but will no longer be prioritising building retail-focused platforms.
We really appreciate all the support the community has shown us on our platforms over the last 5 years building on the XRPL.

If you tried Axiom early, now is the time to come back.
CLOB is here.
Live order books, limit orders, better pricing, and the ability to trade in and out before markets resolve.
We’re relaunching with hot $XRP focused markets around XRP ATH, $RLUSD market cap, Ripple IPO, Batch amendment, the CLARITY Act, @fuzzy_xrp ATH, and @ARMY_XRP589 ATH.
Placing limit orders also earns bonus Axiom reward points, paid out in XRP.
Axiom is no longer just a place to make predictions.
It is becoming the trading layer for XRP conviction.
For years, the $XRP community has debated timelines, catalysts, IPOs, lawsuits, ISO standards, bank integrations, and regulatory moves. But all of that energy has only lived on Twitter threads, YouTube comments, and Discord predictions.
Axiom Protocol turns that culture into real markets.
No new token. No new learning curve.
Just bring the XRP you already hold, and trade the beliefs you already talk about every day.
Axiom is the cleanest way for XRP holders to finally put money behind the ideas they have argued about for a decade.
Where conviction meets liquidity.
Where speculation becomes a market.
Where being right matters, and being wrong has a cost.
Axiom is where XRP holders bet on the future.

There is a reason @AxiomProtocol_ has been so quiet.
After the public beta launch earlier this year, we took a step back and had a very honest look at what was working, what wasn’t, and what Axiom needed to become if we wanted to build the best prediction market possible for the XRP community.
And we learned a lot.
Over the last few months, we’ve rebuilt the backend systems of Axiom Protocol from the ground up around the functionality and markets that XRP holders actually want.
Some of the biggest lessons from beta:
- If you can’t exit your position at any time, people won’t treat it like a real prediction market
- Long-running markets matter. They give markets time to mature, build liquidity, and create proper price discovery
- Platform incentives need to be directly tied to volume. Only taking a fee from the final pool at the end of a market does not create enough incentive for a healthy XRP reward system
So what has changed?
We’ve built an entire hybrid off/onchain CLOB on the XRPL EVM Sidechain that will power all Axiom markets going forward.
This means users will be able to enter and exit markets as many times as they want throughout the lifespan of a market, while also setting limit orders at the exact prices they want to buy or sell outcome shares at.
We’ve also restructured our market focus around markets that other prediction markets simply don’t offer, especially across the XRP, XRPL, Ripple, and broader XRP community ecosystem.
With CLOB now powering the platform, we can finally support unique, long-running markets like:
- ripple:native ATH in 2026
- Ripple IPO filing in 2026
- $RLUSD market cap milestones
- $FUZZY reaching ATH in 2026
- $ARMY reaching ATH in 2026
And many others
We’ve also rebuilt the Axiom Points system so XRP incentives are generated through every transaction made in Axiom markets, rather than only taking a portion from the final pool.
This should significantly increase XRP rewards for active users of the platform and better align incentives with real market activity.
We’ve learned a lot since the public beta launch of Axiom Protocol earlier this year, and we’re excited to finally relaunch the platform with some massive changes that directly address the core feedback we received.
If you tried the beta and felt like something was missing, this is a great time to give Axiom another go.
And if you’ve been waiting for a reason to dive into the Axiom ecosystem, this is probably the one.
Axiom Protocol CLOB goes live next week with a range of brand new markets not found on any other prediction market, featuring , @Ripple, @LuckyHashWin, @fuzzy_xrp, @ARMY_XRP589 and others.
Put your money where your mouth is.

The first phase of XRPFi proved demand.
XRP became active capital on Flare with FXRP.
~$200M XRP TVL anchors a $440M ecosystem, with 3.4M+ FXRP DeFi transactions across 16.5K+ users — the largest XRPFi ecosystem in the market.
The next phase is about scale. Three pieces of the stack come online to get us there:
→ More vault choice. New multi-strategy FXRP vaults, with a broader menu across risk profiles, curators, and yield mechanics.
→ FAssets v1.3. Direct minting via XRPL destination tags. The type of rail change that makes exchange-grade FXRP integrations the obvious move.
→ A direct front end with Flare Smart Accounts. Sign in from an XRPL wallet, deposit into FXRP vaults, allocate to strategies — in one signature.
Each piece widens what XRP can do, and who can do it.

Wider DeFi for XRP means more tools at every layer.
Partnerships like these work because they stack strengths.
FXRP was built so XRP could participate in DeFi at scale - what this collaboration does is scale both surface area and comprehension.
