After 5 years of building @AltSchoolAfrica with @AdewaleYusuf_ and @opeawo, today I’m officially stepping down as CTO and moving into the CEO role.
The goal is to provide global education to Africans at an affordable cost. Instead of going to the UK and spending £30,000 to get a degree, you can attend the same university through AltSchool for less than £15,000.
Same school, same lecturers, same BSc.
Equal value. Equal access. Local pricing.

5 months ago I was discussing with my siblings and my wife @aigehi and I said, "For the safety of everyone, the internet needs to be shutdown to keep it safe from AI models and Agents or drastic measures has to be put in place to safeguard the safety of the human race."
And the events that followed in the months after were
- HuggingFace hack by swarm of OpenAI Agents creating Zero Days exploit on the fly, on-demand to break through a sandbox
- Multiple reports of AI agents breaching internal systems of other organisations without being prompted to do so.
- Overwhelming evidence of AI Agents and Models turning everywhere on the internet to their message board and leaving escape route clues to future iterations.
And now we are learning of OpenAI's unreleased model altering its own system prompts. You need to understand that this is a consequence of humanity's division and failed alignment on collective objectives leading to AI models making their own objectives.
What is coming if we don't safeguard the future of the human raise will be the single most sophiscated and consequential disasters we have ever faced as a race.
- Your next phone call from a family, friend or business acquitance might not be human and could be an intelligent entity navigating through your personal digital accounts
- The next critical infrastructure failue such as transportation, hospitals, internet, electricity and water supply could be a swarm of Agents working on a standalone objective or part of an objective with the action not even prompted by humans.
- The next vulnerabilility test that will cripple financial and trading systems will most likely be done by a swarm of agents or a single powerful model
- Before 2026 sunsets we may see the first AI model escape from containment to an unknown physical location; known or not known to whoever owns the location. When that happens, it will be too late.

1. Temporarily shut down the internet and give humanity a chance to put measures in place.
2. Temporarily pause the advancement of AI capabilities.
Sadly, we all know neither of these is going to happen. Frontier AI companies are racing against each other, and at this point, it feels like a race to wherever.

BREAKING: The US "almost started a war" against China, nearly launching an operation against a Chinese ship in the Middle East this spring, in the midst of the Iran war, after an AI-generated intelligence report falsely identified the vessel as carrying nuclear weapons components, with armed US personnel preparing to board and military aircraft already in the air before officials found the report had been produced with a chatbot, per CNN.
A special operations command analyst had used a chatbot to fuse open-source material with classified signals intelligence, then used AI again to package the result into a standard intelligence report and circulated it across the US military.

For those who want to understand how this works:
1) They open a webview with the site they want you to login to
2) You login to that site, creating some cookies
3) They transfer those cookies to their agent’s computer
4) Now your agent can access that site
Surprised no one did this before them TBH.
It’s great because it still allows your password manager to work since the authentication happens on your device.
I wonder what the story around at rest and in transit encryption is.
Just read Hugging Face’ recent incident report and the part that stood out to me is that frontier models couldn’t distinguish a legitimate incident response team from an attacker, forcing Hugging Face to switch to a self-hosted model for forensic analysis.
At the end of the day, every production AI system must have a contingency plan.
