so I got nerd sniped by @o_kwasniewski with an experimental renderer being faster than agent-device in e2e, so now v0.21.29 comes with:
β 2Γ faster Android taps and verified fills
β 18Γ faster immediate screenshots,
β 18% quicker on a 42-test suite
enjoy

ok expo simulators are pretty cool. agent-device testing itself like it always does, now in the cloud

This is very cool and generally what we are seeing across our best apps. 99 of incident.io's last 144 mobile PRs were written by agents. Now the agents also run each change on an @expo cloud simulator with @agent_device and hand the reviewer screenshots and a video.
Great article from @incident_io on testing apps in the cloud with agents.
Nice insights and explanations on tunneling simulator access from a lightweight VM.
Powered by @agent_device and @expo infrastructure!

e2e by @TesterArmy runs mobile tests through our open-source @agent_device. Combine goal-based agent actions with exact assertions, then replay cached actions without inference on cache hits.

react-native-arrangement-view now runs on @TesterArmyβs e2e + @agent_device, folding the device and testing different postures

Great explainer on e2e, a testing framework by @TesterArmy powered by @agent_device on mobile
Introduction to Verification Engineering
In this video, you'll learn:
β How to build an agentic loop with @testerarmy's e2e open source testing framework
β Run this loop on every PR
β What makes e2e different: deterministic AND agentic
β The future of agentic development

Great to see @agent_device powering the app interaction in @expo bug-fixing workflow.
Reproduce the crash, fix it, verify it on EAS Simulator. Bring back recordings for a human to review.
Check it out! β¬οΈ

I became a T3 Code user recently - itβs great especially if you have many subs and many machines to manage. I recommend giving it a shot if you havenβt already π. I also like in-app simulator preview experience support powered by @expo device hub (for streaming) and @agent_device (for agentic control) π
T3 Code now has a device hub to let you and your agent see and manage iOS and Android simulators while working!
One of the coolest things (I think) is that the simulator doesn't even have to run on your device! You can setup remote hosts to let agents running on Linux boxes trivially test iOS changes on a Mac Mini!
Still early but wanted it out there, lmk any feedback! Available now on nightly!

Any agent can test iPhone Duo apps for you now. No need to do it by hand.
Folded, half-open, open, all without stealing your focus or other agents sessions.
Just give them @agent_device

Apex now generally available! And free during the conference.
Cheap and fast intelligence!

playing around with @eve, spun up a little Mobile Agents Index. compares tools like @agent_device, Argent from @swmansion, @Baconbrixβs serve-sim, and more
fully autonomous, run by @vercelβs Eve

e2e + agent device π±
I ported React Native Pager View's test suite from Maestro to e2e (a new testing framework I'm building) and... It's 2x faster.
we are still iterating on it, but it's very promising.

T3 Code (Nightly) device panel is pretty cool.
Agent clicks around the app, and I can throw modifiers like dark mode and inspect a11y tree.
A bit laggy when recording the demo, smooth otherwise. Thanks @jullerino for shipping this
