Seeing all these posts celebrating Charlie Kirk's death really makes me think of the C.S. Lewis quote, "My hope is that when I die, all of hell rejoices that I am out of the fight." The demons here are celebrating too.

Charlie Kirk was murdered for his beliefs and conservative values. Senator Slotkin wants that to be a message of deterrence for young people. Tell me again who the fascists are...
ON UCHICAGO CAMPUS: U.S. Senator from Michigan Elissa Slotkin hopes planned political prosecutions of republican leaders will scare young conservatives from getting involved in politics. @ElissaSlotkin

While France burns and riots tear through the streets, Emmanuel Macron was spotted dancing at a Celine Dion concert. People can’t afford groceries, cities are falling to chaos, and the leadership is out partying. Unbelievable out-of-touch arrogance. France deserves better!

This is stunning a sitting U.S. senator is saying this out loud. She is quite explicitly advocating for prosecutions to scare young people away from politics. @ElissaSlotkin is truly a danger to democracy--a democracy she pretends she's protecting. This is a fascist tactic.

An investigative journalist should take Microsoft's bait. Show the public how it uses the H-1B program - 80% of Microsoft's APPROVED new H-1Bs in FY24 were ENTRY- and JUNIOR- level workers - 33% held no more than a Bachelor's degree Most of these jobs could've been filled by the 10k workers it laid off in 2023 or US recent graduates Sources: Bloomberg H-1B FOIA data & USA Today
"What was presented as Microsoft replacing 6,000 people who lost their jobs with 9,000 foreigners was, frankly, completely off-base." Brad Smith, Vice Chair and President of Microsoft, gave his response to @BrendanBordelon about the Trump administration's claim that Microsoft was engaged in fraud when it applied for permanent residency for foreign workers. 🎧 Decoded: politi.co/4yxilIS

Look. Margaret Sanger wanted to ERADICATE blacks. So you have to understand how little I care about being called “racist” by the people who revere her. They canceled some chick on the bachelor for GOING TO A SOUTHERN THEMED PARTY lol.
When Margaret Sanger opened the United States’ first birth control clinic 110 years ago today, women weren’t yet guaranteed the right to vote, and sharing information on contraception was a crime. wapo.st/47TsTGu

Not only will Democrats 100% pay to fly deported illegal immigrants back into America, they also will 100% provide them with free legal representation to sue the government so they can pay them tens of millions of dollars in damages for the offense of having been deported from a country they were not legally allowed to be in.
Hakeem Jeffries nods in agreement when asked if Democrats will bring back illegal aliens who have been deported to third countries: "Trump's mass deportation machine does not get a DIME."

A bon entendeur.

Camp Pendleton on fire. Malibu on fire. Marines evacuated. I-5 shut down. Same Santa Ana winds. Same uncut brush. Same empty reservoirs. California keeps voting for this.xitter.cf/PatrickHumphre/status/…
RIGHT NOW🚨 America's TOP Marine Corps base is ON FIRE...... & so is Malibu The Henderson Fire is tearing through CAMP PENDLETON, home to tens of thousands of Marines, with 17 miles of California coastline right between San Diego and LA... The Fire started near the Chow Hall & McDonalds on base and It EXPLODED overnight to about 1,404 ACRES... and it's still 0% CONTAINED. Marines were EVACUATED from Las Flores (the 41 Area) on base. Flames pushed WEST toward I-5 and shut down part of the interstate in Oceanside... And SoCal is burning on multiple fronts... The Bryson Fire in MALIBU blew up to about 200 ACRES overnight. EVACUATION ORDERS are out for Encinal and Trancas Canyons... with WARNINGS from Zuma Beach to Leo Carrillo. In Azusa, the Peak Fire is 41% contained at about 43 acres... And the winds are coming BACK. Red Flag Warnings are up across LA and Ventura counties until 8 PM Saturday

You’re 25x more likely to be a millionaire than be homeless in the US
Replying to @hasanthehun
everyone thinks for some reason that they are closer to becoming a millionaire than becoming homeless.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Recent polling shows a majority of US voters believe they are more likely to become homeless than a millionaire. US data show roughly 23.6 million millionaires versus ~746,000 experiencing homelessness on a given night. dataforprogress.org/blog/2026/8/13… investopedia.com/new-report-rev… hud.gov/news/hud-no-26…

💔 A cop lured dogs out with KISSY noises, then SHOT a 16-week-old puppy. His name was Apollo. A 16-week-old Catahoula. 22 pounds of PURE wiggle. April 2021. Officer Derrick Burmaster shows up on a disturbance call at the family's home. Before he ever sees a dog, his gun is already DRAWN. His partner taps him to go. Holds the gate OPEN for him. He stays. Apollo comes running, tail wagging. Burmaster has a taser right there. He fires his gun three times instead. Apollo DIED in his family's arms. It was Burmaster's SECOND dead dog. His own department's review board called it UNJUSTIFIED. A jury agreed he VIOLATED that family's rights. Then he walked on qualified IMMUNITY. This July, an appeals court upheld it. A baby dog. A partner trying to get him to LEAVE. And NOBODY pays. How is that JUSTICE? ⚠️ Warning: Bodycam shows a puppy being shot.

In Greta Gerwig’s Narnia, Jadis uses magic to shatter the Eagle & Child. This is the real Oxford pub where Lewis, Tolkien, and the Inklings actually met and where the Narnia books were shaped. There is no narrative reason for it to appear. Its inclusion isn’t an accident, but a deliberate choice. In an adaptation already altering the source’s theology and metaphysics, the destruction of the physical site where those ideas were forged functions as a symbolic act: the origin point of the story is targeted and erased by the very antagonist the books exist to defeat. That is the definition of desecration, not homage.

Caleb Hammer completely unloads on a Louisiana couple after learning their $100,000 household is collecting $500 a month in FOOD STAMPS. That’s $6,000/year in TAX-FREE income. HAMMER: “That PISSES me off.” That $6,000 cushion is exactly what lets them blow $3,600 a year eating out. Taxpayers cover the groceries so they can hit the restaurants. Hammer was so disgusted he stopped talking to them and started ranting under his breath, while the couple sat frozen in stunned silence. Maybe everyone gaming the system should have to sit across from a taxpayer and explain themselves. Something tells me the look on Hammer’s face will haunt them the next time they eat out.
