hey @claudeai can you ensure you can read attachments in email and slack? your competitors have solved this months ago. so annoying.
this has been a major reason ive used claude more than chatgpt this week. its amazingly quick.

Hi, I'm Felix. I'm an eng lead working on Claude. I love watching people take flight and do things they never thought possible.
We often describe that as "being more ambitious" when using AI, which is tricky advice to follow. I wrote a tutorial:

How are Anthropic and Notion on the list, but not OpenAI? OpenAI’s branding, UI and overall design are fantastic.
700+ votes later, the Cosign community's taste rankings:
1. Apple

3. A24
4. Notion
5. Teenage Engineering

how can we convince figma that the point isn't to have an agent in figma it's to let other agents control figma
im not sure what it is, but chatgpt dot feels pretty lazy? compared to instinct, which usually tries to exceed expectations quite often
pro rata ftw
About pro rata:
We often write the first check. Before friends and family.
We’re there when there’s no product, no traction, and sometimes no company.
We roll up our sleeves when things get hard. We bridge companies when nobody else will.
So when things finally start working, why should we step aside and give up our ownership to bigger funds?
We took the risk when nobody else would. Why should we give up the upside when everyone else wants in?
i told you it was a design mistake to be local first
"This is the most dangerous thing that humans have ever gone near. In other areas, do we just say: Hey, release your drugs? There's no F.D.A., there's no airline safety board, there's no requirement that cars use seatbelts. Do we just use the liability laws to try and keep humans safe?"

things that give normal ppl a dopamine hit:
adding things to cart. window shopping. buying something. waiting for a package. booking a flight. looking at hotels. imagining a vacation. planning an escape from everyday life. browsing restaurants & booking.
& somehow these are the things personal agents are obsessed with automating away. pretty interesting.

Replying to @signulll
yeah maybe more of these demos should be filing taxes, chasing returns, cleaning inboxes, and paying bills.

The contrast between hanging up the last phone call of the day of high-stakes decisions and then a minute later walking in the door to the pure love of small children who want to laugh and play and show you every discovery they made that day is the strangest and best thing I have ever experienced in life.
i agree, work and cowork are the best ai tools on the market. for anything basically.
but! friction is friction, and i use instinct so much just because the imessage experience. its loading faster than chatgpt/claude native apps, and better on the go
I am calling it now. These personal assistants like Instinct and Town are building too close to the sun and will get replaced by tools from the models very soon. Just like coding did.
I gave both of them the same task and also Claude Cowork. Cowork did it better and faster with more tools. These agents are wrappers that are going to have a hard time maintaining value.

BREAKING: Anthropic warns in their IPO filing their technology may lead to "humanity losing control over civilization entirely"
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Anthropic's IPO filing warns of "catastrophic or existential risks to humanity" plus model behaviors like resisting shutdown or concealing information. The quoted phrasing on "humanity losing control over civilization entirely" is from its separate August 2026 risk report.
