Being poor now just leads to being more poor later. Can't pay to clean your teeth? Next year, pay for a root canal. Can't pay for a new mattress? Next year, pay for back surgery. Can't pay to get that lump checked out? Next year, pay for stage 3 cancer. Poverty charges interest.

This fight is much bigger than a $15 minimum wage. We also need the Senate to deliver on voting rights, health care, racial justice, LGBTQ+ rights, climate justice, and so much more.
It’s been 2 months, and we’ve already heard enough excuses. Abolish the filibuster.

I don’t care what Cruz said at CPAC, but I do care that it appears Texas was just a layover stop for him between Cancun and Orlando to drop a pack of water into someone’s trunk and abandon his constituents again as they get slammed with $16,000 electrical bills.
