This may be a long shot -
But there was someone who attended one of our events a few years ago and he performed an oral story and worked as a primary school teacher - I can't remember his name - but if he so happens to see this, or knows who it might be, send a tweet/dm 🙏🏾
And there we have it - It's available NOW on paperback and e-book🙏🏾

1% of professors in the UK are black
Considering it's a struggle for Black-British academics to be employed, accepted, valued and taken seriously regarding lecturing positions in universities, you'd hope they would have the opportunity to teach their own stories, at least

I love this Edo story from the 15th Century that tells us how Prince Ogun became Oba Ewuare The Great with the help of the ancestors and magic. yourafrodna.com/2022/01/07/o…
So...I have a book coming out on January 11th 2022 - it's based on my postgraduate research
It's called 'African Spirituality and Folktales in the Americas'. You can pre-order a copy on ebook, or order the paperback on the 11th. I appreciate your support😄amazon.co.uk/dp/B09M42YRHP/r…
Have you heard about 'The Congos' of Panama? yourafrodna.com/2021/12/20/h…
Imagine if you could literally pick up your whole house and just move to another location?👀
Chattel houses were common in 🇧🇧🇹🇹🇯🇲 [Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, and Jamaica]
This was filmed in rural Jamaica
This is Newton Slave Burial Ground, Barbados 🇧🇧 (forgive the quality I filmed this 5 yrs ago)
570 remains of enslaved Africans from the 1600s were found here in mass graves
Plans have been revealed for a memorial to be built here in honour of our ancestors who were buried here
Sir David Adjaye who designed The National Museum of African-American History, will design the memorial, as well as a research institution and museum relating to the transatlantic slave trade in Barbados.
I want to see more stories like this on twitter🙏🏾
Stories of how your partner, sibling, friend, spouse, etc showed you how much they loved you.
It's nice to fill the TL with examples of what love looks like instead of what it doesn't. Positive examples inspire too.

Barbados has removed Queen of England as head of state!
It was Britain's first slave colony, & some of the first enslaved people Britain took to mainland America were from Barbados.
As Barbados shakes off the remnants of those chains, do you think other countries will follow?
🙏🏾🙏🏾 Tems is beautiful and talented😍
I blinked and you became a superstar. God is the greatest. Super proud moment for me personally. Love you and gatchu forever and ever @temsbaby 🕊💙 #PourinSeason💧
Sweet Potato treats from the diaspora!
Are there any from your country?
I want some of each. Please and thanks 😏🍽
Also, 1 thing I need the diaspora to understand is that enslaved Africans werent brought to one island or country & stayed forever.
Enslaved Cbbean people were brought to mainland America and South America, African-Americans were brought to Europe or the Caribbean etc
Replying to @AfroDNA
Part 2: African-Americans, as well as those from the Caribbean, were among the black poor and destitute of London.
Many of them escaped slavery and were runaways. But this meant they were left homeless and had little hope of paid employment due to UK laws.
