I guess this is a hot take but this is a good thing. Amazing year for games with no clear GOTY makes for an interesting winner but an underwhelming one. Despite the volume of games this year, they are all like 8/10’s critically and none have had that lasting impact you’d expect

Tried the Castlevania demo and the game is great but all I’m reminded of is how we aren’t getting this version in North America. Probably the sickest box art of the generation

This game really surpassed my expectations. I think it might be the hardest and scariest of the revival games. Good puzzles and a really cool story concept for a Silent Hill game

After CoD4 got it's hooks in me, I don't think i played another single player game between 2007-2014 other than Red Dead. Hard to regret it because the peak CoD years were irreplaceable but it's pretty sad man

And they killed it ... No new releases for 2 months now and the items that are popping up are pretty much retail price, sometimes even more. The value of physical games is gonna skyrocket over the next few years

Funny how this news breaks after i recently discovered a great way to purchase new physical games (amazon warehouse deals). 007 and Pragmata were only a few weeks old and 30-40% off

Ended up seeing Mortal Shell 2 through. A good game with a lot of great ideas for the genre but bogged down by some bugs and little other things. Also one of the worst final bosses i think i've ever played

My love for soulslikes has really dropped off in recent years. I actually felt this brewing back when Elden Ring came out but the game was so good it didn't end up mattering. About 5 hours into Mortal Shell 2, it's great but the desire to keep playing just isn't there
