Fantastic news that the @uniofleicester is now home to the @TheBHF Leicester Centre of Research Excellence.
The centre underscores Leicester's exceptional contributions to cardiovascular research - and will enable researchers to expand their ground-breaking studies into the causes of common and rare cardiovascular diseases, as well as refining appropriate treatments and interventions.

Our @BcsPresident @g_andre_ng welcomed today's publication of the NHS 10 Year Health Plan and its focus on plans to:
- tackle inequalities in access to prevention, diagnosis and treatments
- invest and increase use of digital technology to aid in early diagnosis and treatments
- commit to primary prevention by working to reduce risks such as smoking and obesity
We'll provide a fuller response to the plan over the coming weeks and consider the implications for cardiovascular care delivery.
