Civil servant by day. Building companies by night. Dad always. Embracing grind. Hiding from cosmic mystery to build material foundations, but it comes knocking.

I got bored as can be with dark mode UI after using it by default since it got trendy 15-ish years ago. World is darker now, I need my UIs to fight it with a bit of light. Bring on the brightness, I am ready.

Shipping offentlig.ai - helping small businesses in Sweden bid on public contracts🧵: This summer I experimented with public data and AI. I built some MCPs, had some fun. Soon became clear that there was one data source that was difficult to access. In Sweden, there is no central database for public contracts. There are a bunch of privately owned portals that government posts on. When I demonstrated my public data insight-AI agents to friends and acquaintances, they often asked about procurement tenders. But that was one source I didn’t have. It turns out that tender monitoring services are really expensive. It can cost around $1000 per year to monitor contracts, usually paid annually. Many small business owners simply don’t bother, missing out on participating in a process designed to improve the efficiency of public purchasing. Said and done. After several evenings and rainy summer days, I built an infrastructure that gathers all procurements from various portals. It wasn't straightforward, but eventually, it worked. Once the infrastructure and database were built (70% AI-generated code and 30% handwritten Python), I used the Swedish rising star Lovable to create the graphical user interface. I quickly realized it wasn't feasible to provide this data for free. It's complicated to gather, and maintaining the infrastructure costs money. Additionally, I wanted AI features, which also aren't free. Besides, I was eager to build a product side hustle. And that’s how Offentlig AI was born. ✅ Search and filter all procurements, updated daily ✅ Create matching profiles based on CPV codes, regions, and municipalities ✅ Smart AI assistant that creates matching profiles for you ✅ Save procurements for later and set statuses to stay organized ✅ Attractive and informative landing page 🔜 Weekly emails with all currently matched contracts After researching what seemed reasonable, I settled on SEK 179 per month. I hope this makes procurement more accessible and democratic, and I hope it will take off as a product. If you have some Swedes in your networks, please send it their way. (Yes, sorry, Offentlig AI is in Swedish - but feel free to turn on your browser translation and take it for a spin anyway)

What would you build for small businesses that mainly work in the physical world and not on their laptops?

37 years ago I was a tadpole in a dark, warm place. Then I started posting here, found my advantage. Now I use AI to sell self help to my tadpole followers so they can be as lovable as I am. Everything is possible by the grace of god and machine learning.

Does anyone else combine Lovable with Python microservices? It's the bomb.

First look. Monitor all 🇸🇪 public tenders (17k tenders, 9 billion $/y) for small business to find contracts to bid on. Simplifies the category & area system, 10k categories & 300 regions, to a smooth AI flow. Will cost 15% of competition price. Lovable & Python microservices. AMA

i have - to the surprise of absolutely nobody - discovered that speaking authoritatively on issues related to the incubation of spawnlings has great potential for passionate engagement of the populous

I ageee, except for one thing: ”Parenteese” or ”baby talk” - talk in a high pitched voice with lots of repetion - has been shown to be beneficial for language and cognitive development. It has been observed in all cultures and sounds the same everywhere. Seems to be a brain hack

This is what we in Europe call a Christian Democrat. It’s sort of weird it doesn’t exist in the US.
I’m an extremely anti-woke person who wants universal healthcare, carceral urbanism, regulatory reform to enable cheap housing density, and thinks Russia and China are menaces to civil society. I have no party.

Kids are hard-wired to learn from other kids. They are supposed to have people at all ages around them at all times, and other kids are easier to follow than adults. If we bring them up without other kids around, we need to play substitute. Exhausting price to pay for modernity.

I'm blessed that my better half has such good taste in parenting literature. The Continuum Concept and Hunt, Gather, Parent are the main points of reference in our house these days. Good antidotes to clinical and rationalized parenting style norms.

Building with one hand while holding a baby in the other arm is totally doable with Lovable. Remarkable. This morning I implemented Stripe integration and paid tiers while keeping my 6 month old son entertained at the same time. Next level.

Whenever I have a proper think of what I would actually want to spend my days doing, it's always teaching crows to code.

CCP play a different ball game. Their tactics are somehow turning who they target into meek obedient sheep. One day I hope we find out how they made Jack Ma give up and let go, like Winston in the Chestnut Tree Cafe at the end of 1984.
There's no country in the world where the billionaire founder and CEO of their biggest tech company just disappears for months Then loses his entire company and resurfaces as an entrepreneurship professor in Tokyo ???
