Chuck Amato was an enormous part of the dynasty.
Was here before Mickey. Was here for all but one year of the 14-year streak. Was a key, key member/figure/personality on that coaching staff.
RIP to "The Chest."

The craziest part about the ACC cheating FSU tonight is I was about 95% sure we weren鈥檛 getting that 2 point conversion anyway lol

This is not a hold. Florida State got screwed. This is one of the cleanest traps I鈥檝e seen

Fans are calling for an INVESTIGATION into the refs after a highly controversial holding penalty against Florida State wiped out a miraculous 4th-and-21 conversion that would have tied the game against #3 Miami in double overtime.

I just saw a video clip. That flag on that holding call against FSU came out like 2-3 seconds AFTER Ashton Daniels threw that ball man. That鈥檚 just nasty work by the ACC

Is this college football鈥檚 worst-officiated season ever?
Even more egregious than this Florida State Hail Mary was the 鈥楴oles being called for a phantom hold on the previous play, negating the TD.

For the love of god, can we stop acting like the SEC is above other leagues once and for all.
This is a fair point.
They put the SEC over the health of College Football and gifted (double-digit loss at home) Alabama a CFP spot over undefeated Florida State and made sure their precious little favorite wasn鈥檛 left out.
Things definitely have been on a decline since then.
On The Death of the Regular Season
On Dec. 3, 2023, the College Football Playoff selection committee left an undefeated Power Four conference champion out of a 4-team College Football Playoff. The regular season you're mourning hasn't existed for a while now. We've spent the last two years hearing arguments and debates about why certain 9-3 teams deserve a spot in a 12-team field over some 11-1 and 10-2 teams.
I'm not saying you shouldn't be against a 24-team field, or that it won't impact the sport in many different ways. But the idea that the regular season has been killed is just a Pavlovian response at this point.
