Presenter: Why are you so strongly against the IPL? India 🇮🇳 now effectively has four international teams that can play at the same time because of the IPL.
Arjuna Ranatunga: You’ve raised the real point - who is actually benefiting here? It’s only India. Is India sending even a single player to the LPL or the Big Bash? No.
India pays its own players to keep them fit and available, while also paying the world’s best players to come and play in the IPL. This gives them the chance to study and analyse every top player before major tournaments like the World Cup.
Look at Australia’s Pat Cummins. He pulled out of the IPL last year to prepare properly for the Ashes, the WTC Final, and the World Cup - and he won all three for his country. That is called sacrifice.

أعلنت أرادَ عن تأسيس شركة "أرادَ السعودية"، وهي شركة تطوير عقاري جديدة تأسست في إطار شراكة استراتيجية مع شركة إكستوبيا، بهدف تطوير مجتمعات متكاملة واسعة النطاق في مختلف أنحاء المملكة العربية السعودية. وتصبح المملكة العربية السعودية خامس أسواق أرادَ حول العالم، إلى جانب المملكة المتحدة وسوريا وأستراليا ودولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.
وقد عُيّن محمد الضبعان، رئيس مجلس إدارة إكستوبيا، رئيساً لمجلس إدارة أرادَ السعودية، بما يعكس أهمية الشراكة المحلية التي تقوم عليها الشركة الجديدة.
وتتمتع أرادَ السعودية بإمكانية الوصول إلى محفظة أراضٍ واسعة تبلغ مساحتها 10 ملايين متر مربع في مختلف أنحاء المملكة العربية السعودية، بقيمة إجمالية تبلغ 49 مليار درهم إماراتي، وتمتد عبر مواقع استراتيجية رئيسية تشمل الرياض وجدة ومكة المكرمة.
ويتمثل المشروع الأول للشركة في مخطط رئيسي سكني في حي الرمال شمال شرق الرياض، ويمتد على مساحة 2.5 مليون متر مربع، وسيضم نحو 3500 فيلا ومنزل تاون هاوس، تحيط بها 100 ألف شجرة، بجانب مدرسة ومرافق تجارية ومركز مجتمعي ومرافق رياضية، بما يدعم توفير احتياجات السكان اليومية ضمن مجتمع متكامل.
