For me, the thing that Jay-Z said that stuck with me the most was long after the freestyle ended. Four words really put the moment in perspective in real time. My latest on Jigga’s State of the Union at @rootspicnic. andscape.com/features/jay-z-…

Jay-Z's Roots Picnic performance, including a State Property reunion and a freestyled Drake rebuttal, was a reminder of his undeniable rapping chops.

He was our Marvin. He was our Prince. No one has ever, or perhaps ever will, embody the stage slogan “Virginia Is For Lovers” quite like D’Angelo. A VA legend. A VA icon. A VA blessing. Nowadays, we’re losing blessings quicker than we can count them. andscape.com/features/dangel…

History would and should remember D'Angelo as one of the world’s most necessary educators.

How many musicians get their own @30for30? Six years ago today, we lost Nipsey Hussle. I present “The King of Crenshaw,” a 5-part docuseries on a legend in two games: hip-hop + the @NBA. Hosted by yours truly. Spotify: open.spotify.com/episode/4Gj… Apple: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…
