Hellboy’s original trilogy could still get its long-awaited final chapter. Ron Perlman, now 76, wants to reunite with Guillermo del Toro for another film, saying he would do it even at 86 if del Toro came to him. The first two films built a distinct version of Mike Mignola’s character, but the planned third installment never materialized. A new movie would not just bring Perlman back to the role. It would give del Toro’s unfinished story a chance to reach the ending the original films never got.
A few of my uncles have started distancing themselves from me since I became an uncle myself. I understand this, an uncle has to create their own character. Can’t rely on the work of uncles that came before.
