There is a concentrated effort to defame and harass members of the Marketecture team here on X and other social networks. Implying horrible things and posting doctored photos. If you see weird posts about me, @JeremyBloomHere or @aripap please report them and block the sender. The situation is being addressed

CTV’s next chapter has a lot of moving parts. AI agents, creator-led content, live sports, and yes, micro dramas. @PubMatic's Nicole Scaglione joins me on the AdTechGod Pod to talk about what’s changing, how buying gets simpler, and what “premium” actually means when advertisers expect results. Listen to the latest episode. Spotify: open.spotify.com/episode/3f0… Apple Podcasts: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

Me watching marketing teams scramble to replace “Performance TV” with “Full-Funnel TV” across all their sales collateral after yesterday’s social post.

I’m really getting tired of hearing about CTV being a performance channel. I get it. Attribution, conversions, ROAS blah blah. But if your creative is absolute shit, none of it matters. Can we just go back to acknowledging that TV is great for building brands and stop forcing this whole performance TV narrative bullshit.

A $110B drama, erm…media merger, Apple loves privacy more than advertisers, and out-of-home is the moment. That’s what we're covering on this week's Delivered in Full with Marketecture's @kait_obrien7 and Linda Bethea, former CMO at @Danone North America. youtu.be/YOg9FZn4nv8

What happens when AI starts doing the actual media buying? On the latest episode of The Advertising Forum, brought to you by @FreeWheel, AdTechGod and @JeremyBloomHere were joined by John Koenigsberg and Nav Singh from @HorizonMedia to talk about programmatic, agentic AI, and automation. We got into where the opportunities are, and why the human side of media buying is still so important. We really enjoyed this conversation, especially hearing how Horizon is approaching all of this. youtube.com/watch?v=UxjQH7e7…

AdTech Confessions: Targeting Sins and ROAS Reality Checks with Aaron Goldman of Mediaocean From questionable audience targeting data to brand safety mishaps and the debate over whether ROAS tells the full story, the industry has plenty to unpack. AdTechGod sits down with @AaronGoldman, CMO of @TeamMediaocean, to react to anonymous confessions collected at Marketecture Live Chicago. Brown beard. No stress-induced eye twitch. Never said “omnichannel” against my will. Cookies were food. Identity resolution meant finding my birth certificate. Never drank nine vodkas. This was my peak. I hadn’t started working in AdTech.

🌸 @StackAdapt brought some flower power to the Big Apple for Advertising Week. So naturally, we stopped to smell the roses. Marketecture correspondent @Jackelyn_Keller caught up with Christian Gerron from @StackAdapt in front of the brand’s “Grow Boldly” mural to talk about what it actually takes to grow boldly in the age of AI. Smarter workflows. Less busywork. More clarity. And humans who still understand why decisions are being made. Because maybe the best use of AI isn’t taking marketers out of the picture. It’s clearing away the weeds so they have more room to grow. 🌱

Abbey Ramsey, Chief Commercial Officer at Anoki AI, joined AdTechGod for a great conversation about AI, CTV and what happens when you can actually understand what’s happening on screen in real time. We talked about using those signals across news and sports, turning context into something advertisers can actually activate programmatically, and how AI is changing the way teams work. We also got into Abbey’s career across MTV, Tremor Video and OpenAP, and some of the lessons she’s picked up along the way. Check out the full conversation. We’ve never had more ways to measure marketing, yet somehow we’re still struggling to make better decisions. The technology has gotten faster, MMM has evolved and AI can help make sense of more data, but none of that matters if an organization isn’t actually prepared to act on what it learns. @JeremyBloomHere sat down with Bradley Keefer of @keen_decisions to talk about the changing measurement landscape, where AI and agents actually fit, and why moving faster isn’t necessarily the same as making better decisions. The technology may be ready to move faster but the bigger question is whether organizations are. Sponsored by Keen Decision Systems.

For those of us in the ad tech trenches this company OpenWeb had so many red flags: 🚩Open web (dying) 🚩Israeli HQ (not in an antisemetic way) 🚩Comment section monetization (others have tried) 🚩Ridiculous valuation (from dumb money) 🚩Podcaster on the board (a certain professor?) 🚩CEO drama
New: The adtech platform OpenWeb, which monetizes publishers' comment sections and was valued at $1.5 billion in 2022, declared insolvency this week. The company faced a shortfall of roughly $5 million, which worsened when its largest lender demanded $20 million.
