Proud husband 🥲
The first paper out of the Snell lab is live! This review was led by my postdoc Dr. Nichelle Jackson. We dove into the cerebellar contribution to dystonia, specifically focusing on Purkinje cell and cerebellar nuclei dysfunction and calcium handling.

This Giving Tuesday, I'm reaching out with a personal ask for something important to me. Swaliga Foundation is on a mission to change lives through FREE STEAM education. We'd be so grateful for ANY amount! swaligafoundation.org/giving…… #givingtuesday #nonprofit #STEMeducation #STEAM
The end of the year crunch is real! One happy client followed by another one eager for a deliverable.
It’s kind of amazing how much of a difference sealing all the air leaks in a house makes on heat retention.
Wasn’t too enthused to continue heating our new home with its heating oil boiler. Glad to see the tech improving! Hopefully the payback period will make sense.

Why do mechanical equipment manufacturers A-weight their octave-band sound data 😪?Most data is unweighted. You’re not helping me by doing this.
Good calculations tell you an answer. Great calculations tell you the story to the answer. #engineering
Back from the temporary city and reminded of how grateful I am for all this infrastructure:
- utilities (water, electricity, gas, internet, waste mgmt)
- radio
- signage
- paved, smooth roads
- traffic signals and street lights
- air conditioning
- communal spaces

Way to go @TribeSwaliga and @HeatherDSnell on submitting our first NSF grant! I know you dedicated a lot of time, energy, and attention to this one! 🤞🏽
Today marks a huge milestone for @TribeSwaliga! We submitted our first NSF grant to support our #STEAMtheBlock
k-12 after school science and engineering program that will allow us to expand nathon wide from the DC area and research the impact of culturally.. 1/2
RE investor really told me that low-income areas aren't desirable for them then pitched me on his project in a high-income area. I get it :sigh: but this casual dismissal is characteristic of why less fortunate areas don't get better. #realestateinvesting
My partner and I took two separate roundtrips to DC from CT in the past few weeks. Three legs of the trips had multi-hour delays. Very disappointing. Unfortunately, I just don’t think the train is a viable alternative to flying or driving @Amtrak
The art of coming together to build something great is hard. Finding the through line that makes the best use of what one has can be an ever elusive search. But if we find it, there’s such magic in working together. Until then, how does one overcome and break through?
At my real estate investor association meeting last night.
Presenter: “Has anyone heard of a HERS rater, LEED…”
Audience: One hand goes up (mine)
There were probably more hands that could have gone up. Still, something to think about for the green building community.
Of the electricity generated in each state, how much is from renewable sources? Would not have guessed some of these states are at the top of the list in 2021. Curious where we are now..

Renewed CA landlord insurance recently. Glad I shopped around! Was seeing quotes literally ~300% to 400% higher than last year. In the end, found a company that was close to previous premium and coverage. Broker was willing to work with them too. Phew! 😮💨
Sustainable single-use consumables (straws, water bottles, utensils, cups) that work as good as its plastic equivalent and doesn’t cost more.
