I paid my way through university in Jerusalem by playing the accordion. What I lacked in technique, I made up for with my ability to get the audience to join in and sing. Friday nights at home meant leading my parents and the rest of our family in song.

Last month, I had the opportunity to speak at Harvard University about a challenge every organization faces: how to manage change without destructive conflict. The organizations that succeed are not the ones that avoid conflict, the ones that know how to work through it together

The real challenge is not to avoid conflict, but to transform it into an opportunity to learn and build together. This is only possible when there is trust and mutual respect between team members. As I usually say: "Integration exists when there is trust and mutual respect.
